You can't beat stir fry. It's quick, it's delicious, and it only has the fat that you add to it. Pick a protein you like - chicken, shrimp, lean beef. Slice it super thin and throw it a hot pan with your favorite veggies. Add seasonings et voila! :)

First off, keep it positive. That's so important with any teenager, but especially with one carrying around all that emotional baggage. You can't get rid of negative feelings with more negativity. You need to emphasize all the positives - how much fun she'll have doing whatever active things you guys are doing, what kind…

As I understand it, you just subtract the fiber from the total carbs and that gives you your net carbs.

Mmmm fish. Five generations of commercial fishermen in the family means I was practically raised on the stuff. Fish is super versatile. Fry it, add it to gumbo, bake it with lemon, there's a lot you can do with it. A word of advice though, since you're someone who doesn't eat it or buy it very often. If it smells "fishy" -…

Get your hair done. Read your favorite book. Take a long walk on a sunny day and just enjoy the sunshine. Make sure you're getting…

That's why they call it comfort food. Because it is. It is comforting to eat. It's possibly, along with sleep and water, the fundamental and most basic form of self-care. It's an affirmation of life. Everybody's gotta eat to live. And let's face it, sometimes feelings suck. They're messy, uncomfortable, and sometimes…

I want to feel comfortable in my own skin. To feel like I actually live in this body, and am not just the tiny person who lives in my head and drags the rest of me around.

And beef jerky's a pretty good snack for during the day. You just have to watch out for the sodium content of some brands. But it's fairly low calorie and it's portable, no special treatment needed.

Sounds like maybe some more protein and/or fat with breakfast might help. I know I always feel better when I have some protein in the morning. It just seems to keep me going longer without being hungry.
