No beer or wine for the next 40 days.

See a doctor. This isn't normal, and you aren't going to get good advice in a forum like this.

2 slices of pepperoni pizza has the caloric equivalent of a 10 mile run. Once I discovered that fact, my addiction to pizza was EASY to kick. I now treat myself to pizza once every few months, and I appreciate it so much more than when I ate it every week and was 40lbs overweight.

As a report on NPR said, detoxes should be called "Celebrity Fad Rip Offs." Weight loss comes from diet and exercise, not cleaning out your colon.

And THIS is why I never ask for advice on this forum! cathingstars is going to ignore all the sound advice on this page and go with an answer like this. If you eat 2000 calories per day and burn 1400 calories back you have 600 net for the day. You'll lose muscle definition, suppress your immune system, and be starving…

Just a thought...maybe you are at your ideal bodyweight? Forget the stupid textbook answers. If you are eating healthy and exercising regularly, than maybe you are right where you need to be. As far as muscle definition, I finally accepted that I'm genetically not going to get there. I run 100-miles per month, lift, swim.…

Way to go!

Oh, and if you go this route, make sure you change your fitness profile to "active" or "very active" so you aren't starving yourself. I couldn't stay with it if I were hungry all of the time.

Another option is DON'T enter your exercies. MFP has many articles about how we underestimate the calories we eat and overestimate the calories we burn. So if you take out your exercise (from your count, not your life) and just focus on intake, you'll see pounds drop. Good luck on your half marathon. I just ran my first…

I doubt you actually gained 2.5lbs in a week when you were exercising and watching your calorie count. Weigh yourself every week at the same time and with the same conditions. I always weigh myself before I eat breakfast and after I work out. A few weeks ago, I weighed myself after breakfast and thought I had gained 2lbs.…

MFP often over calculates calories burned from exercise. My advice, don't log your exercise until the end of the day. Eat within the calorie count given without any recorded exercise. Also, weigh you food on a digital scale; don't estimate your portions. A serving is a lot less than we Americans think it is.

And now that I think more about it, there are a bunch of phone apps called "30 Challenge." They have them for all the major muscle groups, and they rely on body weight. Before I ever went to the gym, I started with 30-Day push up, 30-Day squat, 30-day Abs, and 30-Day Back. I could tell a significant difference after a…

I have been lifting for strength, without bulking up. Lift no more than 2-3x per week. Use lighter weights and higher reps (Guys looking to bulk do heavier weights and lower reps.). The personal trainer who put me on my plan said I should be looking at 15-25 reps per set, doing 2 sets. Do one exercise per major muscle…

5 miles is a good beginner trip. I ditto much of the advice about doing some test hikes in the shoes you plan to hike in, with the pack you plan to use. Here is a video I put together a few months back on blister-free feet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnxBQnZ3llw. Also...you need to have a SERIOUS talk with your…

A day of caving...

I'm not pursuing weight loss, just fitness. But it seems to me if you don't step on the scale regularly, you have no way of measuring progress. I can't imagine THINKING I was losing weight for 6 weeks, only to discover all that effort was wasted. A weekly check in would allow you to modify your plans.

Perfect example of why I never ask for advice on this forum--you never know what bad input you will receive. 45% protein in your diet is going to cause you all kinds of problems....http://www.webmd.com/diet/20000425/protein-popularity

Be a statistic, or be your own person. Studies don't determine my success or failure--I do.

Pretzels! 22 pretzels (Great Value brand) is only 120 calories & 1 gram of fat.

Once every few weeks, I get myself totally away from technology for a day or two. I intentionally miss a log day. Why should I let loosing a streak number overwhelm me? I do this to monitor my food intake, not live under the pressure of some arbitrary app.

My wife lost weight while pregnant simply because she selected a healthy diet. She cut out fast food, sodas, & empty calories that offer no nutrition (re, candy, etc.). The doctor was never concerned, because her caloric intake was exactly what it should be.

Knowing I paid for that month's gym membership and that I have a class to go to, gets me out of bed and to the gym. I'm too inconsistent with home workouts (except for my running regiment).

Bananas, Skim Milk, Bran Flakes, Protein Shakes, Greek Yogurt, Fresh Veggies. I use to think the number was impossible. Now I'm nearly always over my RDA of potassium.

You're exercising. That's what matters. Unfortunately, a stationary bike is not going to give you a huge calorie burn 200c for 30 minutes sounds about right. To put that into perspective, I ran 9 miles yesterday and only burned 1,100 calories--and running is one of the higher calorie burning exercises. Calorie intake is…

Check your activity level. When I changed it from Sedentary to Active, I suddenly had 700 more calories per day. (I'm suppose to eat 3000+ calories to maintain my weight after a 10 mile run. Gah! I don't know how to eat that much any more without going to a FF restaurant and sucking down grease!) Also see if you reached…

AC/DC can really push me while running or on a stationary bike. I don't listen to them otherwise. Another suggestion is look at Pandora & Milk. You can customize stations based on musical interest.

Running is one of the most efficient ways to burn calories, and there are added health benefits to running over walking. Having said all that, if you hate it, then don't worry about it. Cycling, swimming, walking, Zumba--find what works for you. FWIW, I started with the C25K program 11 months ago, and I hated it at first.…

Bowl of Total Cereal, skim milk, and a banana. Why make things more complicated than that?

One more thought. On a 3,000 calorie diet, you could drink 6.5 of these Protein Smoothies in one day. I can't imagine being able to consume that many of them--too filling--but having one every 2-3 hours will keep you from going hungry.
