I agree, in fact I can't help feeling that clothing manufacturers do their best to mislead us - as do changing room mirrors! :)

When I was in my twenties a UK size 12 fitted a 36in hip. Now the sizes have gone mad and vary from brand to brand.

Thank you, I just can't work out how a 180 person can fit into a size 10. I can only think TakingBackForever must be very well toned.

Are American sizes different to UK? I'm 183 and a tight 18. Height 5ft 3ins.

After my second child was born, I didn't count calories, I counted carbs and lost all my baby weight and more. Counting carbs just doesn't work for me now. :(

Oh my goodness!! Thank you for your reply, I had no idea it could be so bad. I will try harder to stick with calorie counting, I have a kitchen scale which weighs to a single gram. My calories goal with MFP is 1200, which isn't a lot. Oh dear, it didn't used to be so hard.... Thank you again. Onwards and downwards - I hope.

I must be a weirdo because I never say yes, I just feel that everyone here is friendly. I hope no one minds too much. Lol, I'm more likely to be your Gran.... :D

Thank you so much everyone, I hope you don't mind, I haven't got a friends list, I like to think that all here are my friends. My yo-yo dieting started when I was 29, yikes!! I have grandchildren older than that! :D

Many thanks for your welcome. My fingers are crossed. :D
