My husband and I do mall walking when the weather is bad. Once we started doing it, we actually noticed that there's lots of people there doing the same thing. We never noticed when we were just shopping around but there's always a few older folks in workout gear doing laps. Target or Wal-Mart work pretty well too, just…

I've found I've had more success setting it to sedentary, and then letting my fitbit add calories in for how much I've walked (and eat those). It'll give you a low number to start with and add them throughout the day. After the first day or two you can see what you should be eating and go with that. I don't know how…

Getting back to the same weight is obviously possible. If you consume less energy then you spend, you'll lose weight until you hit it. I think you probably mean getting back to the exact same body you had? I think that's not really possible for a lot of people. Like you said, hips and boobs just change.

I must be honest, I can't imagine having that little compassion for another human being.

Congratulations on your loss! Your story is very inspiration. you should be extremely proud of how far you've come. Heck, I'm proud of you and I don't even know you! Well done.

I had my tubal done during my (second) c-section. Losing weight hasn't been any harder than it was after my first birth. It hasn't been easy but I've attributed that more to all the normal stressors/body changes that come with having a baby/nursing. I don't think the tubal itself has changed much for me (other than I can…

I'm a little taller than you, weigh a little less and I'm losing on 1540. (slowly but surely). I think you should up your calories a bit and see how it goes. What did MFP give you? Keep in mind that you should set your weight loss to .5-1 lb a week.

No I don't think you'll necessarily gain it all back. Your hormones just go crazy and that could lead to a lot of water retention and what you're seeing on the scale might not accurately reflect what you've lost for a few weeks. Mostly I just mean that 'weight loss isn't linear' and all. Your weight will go up and down so…

I was wondering if you were breastfeeding and meant to ask. I feel like breastfeeding can be even worse than a period for messing with your weight. There's some crazy hormones involved that can make you hold onto water at random times when your babies need more milk for whatever reason. I had a hard time losing…

How much time did it take you to lose the first 11 lbs? It's possible to lose 3 pounds in 11 days but I think the mindset here might be setting you up for frustration and disappointment. The numbers on the scale can be influenced by so many factors anyway that fretting over three pounds is setting yourself up to fail…

Really, you can measure anywhere you want. I measure my belly button because it's approximately the widest part of my abdomen and it's easy to find the exact same spot each week. If you want to measure another part of your abdomen, go for it. It might be harder to get in the same spot but if you have a mole or freckle or…

It kind of makes sense that you wouldn't be very hungry if you're not feeling well and spent a lot of the day sleeping. If you're going to be up late tonight then I think you should eat more. If you're heading to bed and it's really just a one-time thing, I wouldn't worry about eating more.

Is it normal for you to sleep until noon and take a three hour nap in the afternoon? That sounds like an awful lot of sleep and if you're lacking in energy on a regular basis than you absolutely need to be eating more.

Have a bowl of ice cream. Yum!

Oh, I meant to add that the baby will watch me from his bumbo seat while I exercise and he enjoys it. I don't ever try when the 15 month old is up though, I'd just be tripping over her the whole time.

I SAH with my 3 year old, 15 month old and I watch a six month old four days a week. I do a variety of things to get exercise in. Usually I'll do a quick morning cardio session while my 3 YO tries to follow along (super cute). Then all three nap in the afternoon and I try to do another quick work-out. And then sometimes…

Just wanted to throw out that I got pregnant on like day 130 of my cycle a couple of years ago. I had assumed/trusted Dr. Google that it was extremely unlikely to get pregnant on such a long cycle so I was a bit shocked. I was wanting to be pregnant so it was a welcome surprise but I just wanted to throw out there that…
