  • The vitamin will not help you have periods. Sometimes the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis is more activated than others. Are you trying to conceive? If not, you may want to find some sort of contraceptive. Have you lost any weight? Weight loss will activate the HPOIaxis. What meds are you on?

  • See your doc. Many times after pregnancy, hypothyroidism happens. If your ztSH s greater than or equal to 3, then you meet the criteria for thyroid replacement. Good luck. Also check about postpartum depression.

  • I am on 1200 Calories/day and doing well. I am older (57) and it is the calorie allotment that MFP gave me. I eat very nutrient dense foods. Not hungry. I do have to plan for indulgences, but it is workable for me.

  • OP. I assume that your TSH is now ~ 1. That's where the new guidelines suggest with treatment. If the TSH is OK, then have a free T3 tested to see if you need add'l T3 (like cytomel).
