Hi, thanks for being the first to join. I have a herniated / prolapsed disk, DDD and Osteoarthritis of the spine. Its no fun as you know. I had to check what kyphosis was. Ive never heard of it. Reading about it, I'm suprised I don't have it. I have cuviture of the spine, but mustn't be as bad as apparently it has to curve…

I think mine is open to friends.

Wow, thats totally amazing. What an inspiration. A massive well done to you. Congratulations

Welcome Claudia. Feel free to add me. You'll find everyone on here is so supportive. At least, thats what I have found. Best of luck to you

BigGuy, I am not currently doing any physio. I was having it but I found it either didnt help or at times flared it up. the pool walking thing sounds handy. The doc advised against swimming, but he never said anything about walking

Well I can certainly say I am not going to log so that I can more calories to eat. Its just to record doing the activity as a record, as, like I say, for me, doing normal stuff that others take for granted, is tough. I try to log everything as accurately as I possibly can. I'm not trying to cheat at this, I'm just starting…

I wouldnt stick doing the dishes or filling washing mashine and stuff like that. I was meaning 'out of the ordinary stuff' and stuff where I work unusually hard, maybes even break into a sweat doing it. I had to put my lifestyle as sedentary as I have a chronic back issue that severly limits what I can and cannot do at…
-
Nope mine is sedentary
-
So does that mean I put it down as an activity?
-
I do forget sometimes. It was more so because they effect my weight
-
good point. it is the same everyday
-
Im just thinking, should I log the other meds I take, like the tablets, as, even though theres no calorific value, they can effect my weight, as a lot of them cause horrible stuff like constipation ( so heavier obviously lol ) and tiredness so less exercise
-
Ahhhh ok that clears it up for me. Thanks everyone for answering. Ive been missing loads of water then. I'll log it in future. Big thumbs up to you all
-
I totally see what you both mean. My thougt was that I had already logged it as medication, so wasnt sure if it could be logged again as water. Its like double logging, even if no cals etc are present. Im just wanting everything to be 100% honest and accurate.

Some brilliant ideas coming in here. Thanks everyone

Hi Lorraine, welcome to MFP. I'm quite new on here as well. ( 8th Dec ). I have found loads of advice on here and some really nice helpful people. Anything ( no matter how silly you think it is ) you want to know, or are struggling with, stick it on the forum or on you status. Someone will be able to help you. We are here…

1852. I'm not concerned though. Its Christmas and had the meal made for me, so I knew it would be over.

Thats a good idea. Will it be ok after being frozen
-
Yeah, I would do that if I have had chilli the night before. Its better the day after anyway. Wraps is a good idea. Ive always ended up getting stuck in a rutt and taking the same couple of things to work and getting bored
-
Ive been wondering that myself. I wonder how many people have the Christmas black hole binge' The the new years one, thinking that they have a full year to get rid of it.
-
That graph looks good. I might start doing that myself. I normally just do weekly.
-
I hope you get an answer for this. I used to do security, and on night shift my lunch time was about 4am, which is never good. I now have an office job but Im still stuck as to what to take to work so I dont have to get stuck in the queue at the counter in the staff canteen. Ive dropped a post onto another group to ask…
-
Thats good, especially at so many cals
-
At the risk of confuddling things even more, I currently have a deficit for the week of about 6400 cals. Should I take much notice in this at the end of the week, or just go day to day. I couldnt in a million years ram 6400 cals down my throat, even if I tried, just to balance the books so to speak
-
So, correct me if I'm wrong. To get a 'sensible' weight loss ( not too fast but sustainable ) If I stick to around 2000 ( just shy of what Scooby recommends ), but eat more cals to get closer to the 2000 mark, and try not to go over and try to do more exercise, I should be good. I go over on sugar and sodium some days,…

I agree dc1745. I dont want to yoyo. I want my old slim active self back, and back for good.

No idea what those abbreviations stand for lol

TBH Im struggling to get to 2000. If I try for 2014 I reckon I'll been eating junk
