Hey! I'm 20, and I've been dealing with episodes of binge eating that usually correlate to my emotions and most stressful times (e.g. When exams come around). It has gotten better since I've started my journey this April, as I am more aware of what I put into my body! I hope to join you on your fitness journey, and anyone…

For me it was when my depression was at its greatest point, where pretty much every aspect of my life felt like it was falling apart, gaining 20 pounds within 1.5 years in college and having new stretch marks appear on my body every time I looked in the mirror

I have an open diary :) anyone is free to snoop around and add me haha

Hi Lucy, I think the issue is that you are eating 1200 calories or less a day. This may put your body in starvation mode, thus lowering your metabolism and your body is trying to preserve whatever energy and nutrients it has because you might not be eating enough. Start by maybe eating 1300 calories a day instead and see…

I just saw the hashtag #NoExcuses one day (it doesn't always only pertain to fitness) and it just motivates me. I say it every time I don't want to work out, it lets me get through with it. I want it printed on a few shirts so I can wear it to the gym/going out or whatever lol

Bullying all throughout the years while growing up, a stressful school environment, self esteem issues, all of which led to depression and led me to eat my feelings out. I was what you would call an emotional eater, I even "treated" myself when I was either happy or sad! It's time I take control over my own life

I have a few friends that definitely feel like this, and at one point in my life I have felt like this as well. This might sound really stupid, but once I started working out, I started seeing the shower I take after a nice workout as a "reward", something I've earned for my hard efforts that day for working out. Soon as…

Since doing the whole lifestyle change and exercising regularly for about three months, I realize my cravings for bad food aren't as frequent or as strong as before. It's almost like I have forgotten how these "forbidden" foods taste like and I no longer crave them. I definitely feel you on the idea that the cheat meals…

For me, I started college roughly two years ago and those "freshman 15" scares were definitely true - I actually gained 20 pounds, not 15! With such ease of access to poor food choices on campus, it led me to a downward spiral and possibly contributed to my depression I have dealt with. I was tired all the time, had no…

As a college student myself currently, I can totally understand! Now that I'm doing summer school, it's still something I try to deal with, but I went one semester during exam season without gaining weight. Since there's usually no time to exercise, take 15 minute walks during your study breaks - as a bonus this clears…
