  • My initial motivation was seeing a foto of me at a christening, and with a wedding a year after, decided to do something about it.. 100 lb lost for the wedding, so pleased but still have a few pounds to go... After the wedding I haven't lost anything... So I decided I need another motivation...
  • I reached my plateau a few months ago....was.doing really well.and only had about 20 lbs left to go.. But it was winter here, so less walking and gardening that I found was a great help... So I just kept an eye on what I was eating and tried to keep busy in the house, but i know i ate more.... only put 4 lb on... Snows…
  • This is so true. I did find it hard at first, but then realized that it's my weight, and my responsibility, so I just kept on by myself, still on my road and am OK..
  • I don't like the bmi chart, I think it's not right as not everyone is uniform, they use it when I go for my two yearly breast xrays, I wasn't even on their chart, had to use the number nearest, was 45 then, down to 30 now, says I'm obese, makes me think I'm still massive, but I know I'm not, it could dishearten some but I…
  • The not so nice floral, polyester clothes that my grandmother would wear was the one thing I hated, just because someone is larger, why do they have to wear those horrid clothes... I was in a size 22, and stuck to the same sort of clothes, baggy! .. 18 months later and I just bought a size 14 jeans, first pair in over 20…
  • Yep.. This is the one which reminds me the most of how much I lost.. Im sitting up right now, no slouching on the sofa anymore :( lol
  • Yeah. Think this is the biggest down side of losing weight, the sagging skin. I'm now starting to eat a little more so I can work out more to combat it...
  • Ha ha. I got that the other day as well.. Also got the " wow your wasting away".. Nice but not true, what they see is not what I have left to lose under my clothes.. Still nice they notice..
  • Yep. My mind has changed a lot.. Realizing I'm stronger than I thought, can't wait for the end of the tone up period.. Lol this I find is the hard part....
  • I have the bat wings issue as well.. But I'm 100lb down and trying to do skipping, work out DVDs, also now I have snow clearing to add... Will see what happens in time and report back...
  • Well done, I hadn't worn jeans for about 20 years, I bought my first pair a few months ago ( couldn't keep sewing tucks in the size 22 anymore) size 16, was so pleased, had to just buy another pair size 14, feeling so happy and pleased with myself.. Small steps...
  • Well done.. I'm on the last 20 lb to lose, I did the 5lb a time goal, helped no end, I'm skipping now, along with the snow clearing to try and tone up... Keep up the good work everyone, it all counts.. <3
  • I have lost over 80lb so far, think just another 10lb should be where I want to be, (this I know will take a while as I'm still losing just at a slower rate) its been over a year but I still can't believe how far I have come, I don't feel any different, apart from the being able to run up the stairs without collapsing..…
  • Me too, its weird, someone told me my mind has to catch up with my body.
  • I have come to realize I needed to change the way I sat, no padding meant I had to try and find a more comfortable position...
  • chocolate was my addiction... Just a small bar wont make a difference i kept telling myself.... Had to go cold turkey to make the jump, but a year later 80lb lighter (with a couple of lapses). I did it.
  • This is my outlook now on my weight, I still have a few pounds left to drop, but I have changed my whole food intake and now exercise more, I know I won't go back because I DONT WANT to ever be that size again..
  • Yep same here, was shocked when someone took foto from behind.. .took a year to lose 85lb and still have a few lbs to go and a lot of toneing up, but keep that foto near to keep me going wen I'm fed up..
  • I still think I'm big, but after I had to do an 8 hour flight, I realized that I'm smaller, it was the most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on.. All I could feel was my tailbone.....
  • Hi, I'm 58 and a year ago was told I had to wear a dress to my daughter's wedding, a year away.. Oh Noooooo. So with a goal in site and prob about 100lb to lose, I started my diet. The wedding was a few weeks ago. I lost 75lb. Not my goal, but I was feeling so much better wearing a dress lol. I found it hard at first as I…
