Thanks Sarah.

I just started the meds at the end of October so I won't know until my next lab work in December if I'm on the right dose of medication.

Thanks DB!

Hey fellow carb cyclers, I just wanted to share that I won the weight loss contest at my work. I lost 12.96% in 8 weeks

Thank you for that tip! I have hypothyroidism and I always heard to subtract 200 calories from what your Fitbit says you burned, but now I just changed it from 5'4" to 5'3" so maybe now I can just go off of what it tells me.

That pizza looks yummy. Now I want some pizza, ugh. The struggle never ends.

Hi, I do low carb under 40 net on Tuesdays, Thursday's and Friday's and I do high carb under 100 net on Mondays, Wednesday's, and Sunday's. Saturday is my reward meal day.
-
Unfortunately I don't have any advice since I sort of do my own plan. I look at net carbs and stay under 100 on high carb days and under 40 on low carb days. I also eat fats on high carb days in addition to low carb days, I love fats! I usually will lift weights on high carb days and do just cardio on low carb days. I'm…

Hi there! I was just diagnosed as hypo at the end of October and put on Levo so my TSH is not stable yet. My next lab work is scheduled for beginning of December to see how things are going. Anyhow although I'm very tired each day I manage to wake up early and go to the gym for an hour and then keep moving the rest of the…

I agree with what you stated. I've always had a big booty and only got down to a size 4 at my lowest weight 115, I'm 5'4. I've now lost 17 lbs. At my highest weight, 164 I was wearing a tight size 14 jeans, now I'm in a size 12 but I can't fit in all size 12's, Express brand is too small for me. I've always carried a high…

I am also 5'4" 147 lbs. I don't set a goal date, but I do enjoy using the happy scales app which gives me an estimated date for when I reach my goal based on my rate of loss. Right now my goal is set to 120 lbs, but I will probably go down to 115 lbs since I feel best at that weight.

True, the low carb really helps.
-
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I did low carb Friday and Saturday and this morning I lost 1.1 lbs since last week (1.6 since yesterday since I was up 1/2 a lb). I was really starting to think that I'd gain weight on 1,300 net calories, I was sad.

I'm currently at the gym on the elliptical and I plan to do an hour of this plus walk until I get my 10,000 steps each day through Tuesday when I weigh in for the weight loss contest at work. As for a reward meal I have to skip it this weekend because with my husband being gone last week, the Halloween candy, traveling for…

Great tips Sue! I will try some of them when he leaves again next month.

Unfortunately I do not have any insight. Halloween proved I have no self control and next Saturday the scale will reflect the damage I've done. It doesn't help that my husband's new job requires him to travel so he is gone this week, and will be gone a week or 2 every month this winter and I'm an emotional eater. I need to…

I am 5'4" and started at 164 lbs at the end of August and as of Saturday I'm 147.9 and I have 28 lbs until goal number 1 and then I'd like to lose 5 more lbs to account for the water weigh that comes back when you eat more calories.
-
I am set to 1,210 calories for 1 lb a week. I follow a weekly deficit so some days I eat more, and some days I eat less. I welcome all friends so feel free to send me a request.

I'm with you Laura. I've been eating 500+ calories of candy a day. I need to get it out of the house ASAP.

I find the Fitbit very motivating. It helps me get to 10,000 steps a day which I believe really helps my weight loss. My fitness pal and Fitbit interface so my calories in shows in the fitbit app and Fitbit gives me exercise calories in my fitness pal that I can use as I wish. Fitbit also sends you a weekly email with your…

All leftover candy will be donated to my work. Hopefully my coworkers will eat it all for me.

I am on 50 mcg of levothyroxizine and it's only been 2 weeks for me but I've been losing at least 1/2 to 1 lb a week on a weekly average of 1,200-1,300 gross daily. I do lift weights 3x a week and do cardio (elliptical and walking) to get 10,000+ steps a day. I feel like I'm always walking because I know it is harder for…

Lucky! We just moved to a new neighborhood and don't know how many trick or treaters we will get, but we bought 2 bags of candy last night and I've already eaten some  It's a struggle for sure! Some of it wasn't even that good so I especially like your post about the calorie refund!

Thank you

Thanks!

It just seemed like you would have to since your eating at your TDEE the other 5 days. If you're losing less than 1 lb a week it makes sense to me.
-
I have 4 cats. I will make sure to pick each one of them up and give them a big hug tonight. One weighs at least 15 lbs so I might get a bit of a workout in lol

Congrats!

I still don't quite get how the 5:2 would work. A pound a week is 3,500 calories so to lose a pound in 2 days is a deficit of 1,750 a day. If you add the 500 calories you eat that is 2,250 you would have to burn (TDEE) those 2 days. I don't ever burn that much. I guess some people do, but it just seems difficult to lose…

Everyone is doing great. We just have to take it one day at a time and eventually we will get there!
