I'm happy to hear it works. I will be eating at maintainance Thanksgiving weekend while I visit my parents in Las Vegas. I hope I lose weight and don't gain that week.

Today I am high carb, I've been doing low carb on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's.

It's going better than I expected. I lost a pound last week. I googled reviews on the medication and many people have gained weight so I was concerned for a moment

Awesome! I showed a gain this morning so I don't know what will happen tomorrow. I could be retaining water due to the change in my work out and my new medication  I get discouraged though since today I turned down Olive Garden and donuts so I feel I should be rewarded with a loss LOL!

I modified the plan to meet my needs. For example, I always have fat on my high carb days. I can't live without cheese  I also do not eat all the veggies, I just don't enjoy them that much. I use salsa as a veggie LOL!

Let us know how it works for you! I love carbs too much so I don't think I could do it.

Today I'm doing a high carb day. I just started thyroid medication so around 10 am I will have my protein shake for breakfast, lunch is tuna with light mayo on a 100 calorie sandwich thin, dinner is bean and cheese tostadas, snacks are Greek yogurt, Apple, 100 calorie popcorn, and a high protein granola bar.

My goals are the same. I was a size 4 when I weighed 115-120 and that is where I want to be. I'm also 5'4", although in August the stupid girl at the doctor insisted I was 5'3" LOL!!!! I refuse to believe I've shrunk at only 37 years old. Edit: 30-35 lbs to go!!!!

Thanks Sarah!

Thanks DB!

Thanks Laura

Thanks for the support everyone! I need to have the lab work repeated in early December to see if everything is working for me.

Well I just returned from the doctor and she put me on Thyroid medication, 2,000 units of D3 (I was already taking 1,000), and B12  I'm a mess. I told her I've been trying to lose weight and she said my under active thyroid might make it difficult, but I think I've been doing ok (13 lbs in 7 weeks). On a positive…

I love this! Thanks.

Let us know how it goes!

I just saw that post from Heidi on Facebook. I loved it! Pizza is yummy.

Nope. I started at 164 lbs 6 weeks ago and have only lost 11 lbs. I'm not even down a clothing size yet. Just enjoy the wedding and continue to meet your calorie goals and the weight will come off slowly week by week, but eventually you will be at your goal.

I only count net carbs so for me I use the quest bars in place of a protein all the time. They are low in sugar and high fiber which makes the carbs low impact.

I have a biometric screening scheduled for March. The last one I did was in April and I weighed what I do now (overweight BMI). The screening only checks height, weight, BMI, glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure so thank goodness they don't pull out the tape measure too! My goal is to be at a healthy weight this time so…

My fitness pal gives me 1,200 calories for 1 lb a week and 1,460 for 1/2 lb a week. I have it set to 1 lb since I have 34 lbs left to lose. I'm 5'4" and 37 years old. I save my exercise calories earned for the weekend. I would recommend using a TDEE calculator to see what your maintenance is and then cut calories from…

LOL! Me too

Hi Sarah, Welcome to our group  I kind of do my own thing so I'm probably not the best person to give advice, but I follow net carbs and just try to eat less than 50 net carbs on low carb days and no more than 100 on high carb days. However, I have been doing more high carb days lately since I love carbs, and I…

I actually prefer to calculate a weekly deficit versus a daily deficit. I think that by eating different amounts of calories each day your body never adjusts and you won't plateau. I pre log all my meals for the week that I plan to eat and use my fit bit to calculate my calories out. Right now I'm eating approx (I don't…

I'm doing good. Just taking one day at a time and trying to do the best I can

I used to have the vemma bode app on my phone but I didn't like the meal plans so I deleted it.

If you'd rather form a group that is fine with me.

I eat them but I think the only benefit is that they have fiber and expand in your stomach to help you stay full. I use them in overnight oats or Greek yogurt.

I'm 5'4" and for health I've heard the 1/2 your height is healthy so 32 inches for us shorties. For vanity I felt good in a size 4 when I had a 27 inch waist, but I would also be happy smaller than that since my bone structure is small. I'm at 34 inches right now so I have a LONG way to go. Even with my small frame I've…

Why would anyone say that to you? My fitness pal puts me at 1,200 no matter what setting I chose. When I reduced it to 1 lb a week it gave me 1,210 calories so only 10 calories more. My body fat is still in the obese range and my weight/bmi overweight, but it still won't give me more calories. I have to exercise every day…

I have a desk job and I'm also sedentary on weekends so I have to work hard to get my 10,000 steps in. On work days I drink lots of water to force me to get up and use the bathroom. I will work out before work and walk 3 times a day (2 breaks and lunch) at work. On weekends I will go to the gym, come home eat breakfast and…
