I'm on a similar plan except right now I try to stick with 1:6. I'll have 1,000-1,300 calories 6 days a week and up to 2,500 on Saturday. I also try not to eat until 10-11am and stop eating by 7pm so like a 15:9 or 16:8 fasting schedule. I'm not opposed to trying the 5:2 someday if I start to have more hunger. I think I…

In the app next to your weight there is a camera icon. Click that and select a photo from your phone. Edit: This icon is under the progress tab where you record your weight.

Exactly! I've eaten out several times this week and had wine on Saturday and my daily average for 1/2-1/8 (pre-logged) is at 1,370. I know if my Fitbit says I burn an average of 1,900 a day I can have my average go up to 1,400 and still lose weight. It's a lifestyle change so it's all about enjoying life and balancing the…

Thanks! I plan to eat some Eggbeaters with cheese and then lots of Vodka to wash it down lol. It will be a quiet evening at home.

The wine I drink is in the MFP database. The bottle is 750 ml so I googled to find out how many ounces that is and logged it. It's probably not 100% accurate, but close enough. I also have a wine glass that tells me how many calories is in a serving size. I think 12 oz was around 300 calories.

I drink Sauvignon Blanc and the bottle I like is 26 oz, about 600 calories. It's worth it to me lol

Thanks DB! 26 lbs down  I took that photo this morning at work because it's really hard to work the day before vacation! You're also doing awesome! Your weekly weight loss numbers are impressive.

Hi everyone! Our post is getting lost so I felt the need to bump it. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! I'm starting a week diet break today so hopefully I don't gain.

Instead of looking at it as a cheat day track your daily gross and net averages for the week in MFP in the nutrition tab. Pre log your daily limit of calories each day with a quick add if you don't have your meals planned and log the dinner at Olive Garden on the day you plan to have it and add your other meals that day as…

What everyone above says is correct about MFP, but after awhile you will know what is best for you (to eat more or less). Personally, I use my Fitbit calorie burn and subtract 500 from that to know what my average daily intake should be. For example, if I burn 2,000 per day based on my activity I could probably eat a daily…

Yes, this is what I do. When I grocery shop on the weekends I pre-log my week and check my daily average for the week under the nutrition tab. I include my Saturday refeed meal in my pre-log for the week, but if you don't know what you're going to eat/drink yet just add a quick add to that day with what calorie amount you…

I disagree with needing to eat above 1200 net. It all depends on your age, weight, height, and activity level. I burn about 1,900-2,000 calories a day per my Fitbit and my gross daily average intake is 1,545 and my net is 1,031. I'm losing about 1-1.5 lbs a week depending on the various factors ( water weight etc...). By…

I cook in the crock pot most days since I'm so tired after work, all of my recipes are easy, basic recipies since I have no patience for cooking. I make salsa chicken for tacos weekly like the OP. I also make: *Chicken breast with green enchilada sauce and a can of pinto beans. Shred chicken for burritos. *Chicken breast…

I keep hearing people talk about stride length. I've seen the option to add stride length before but don't know how to figure it out. Can anyone tell me how to determine my stride length? Thanks!

Las Vegas was a lot of eating and drinking as expected, but I had a great time visiting my parents.

I was just diagnosed as hypothyroid in October and prescribed 50 mcg of levothyroxizine. My lab work was done in August (it took 2 months to get an appointment with the doctor). I began MFP on August 30 and had already lost 10 lbs by the time I started medication by eating 1,000 to 1,300 calories 6 days a week and then…

I actually made him cook! Tuesday is breakfast for dinner night and he is the egg chef in our household lol!

I don't handle stress well at all. Starting a new job in 2013 is what led to my gaining back all the weight of lost in 2012 plus a few more. With that said, I was really upset and emotional yesterday over a package I wanted to take with me to Vegas for thanksgiving that fed ex refused to deliver without a signature and…

I plan to log what I "think" the calories are because I'll be using others homemade entries. My mom is cooking so it's impossible to log correctly and I won't have access to a scale either. I will overestimate to be safe. So far I've pre logged 2,600 calories.

My plan is to eat whatever I want Thanksgiving weekend, and eat less calories/carbs the previous Sunday-Wednesday to keep my weekly net calories at a maximum maintenance and at best a deficit. I will log everything to the best of my ability but I won't weigh/measure. I'll use the eyeball method (I.e. A cup is the size of…

Thanks! I hope my plan works.

Yes, I'm ready! Low carb Sunday-Wednesday so I don't gain weight that week, my hubby is not pleased but he can add a carb if he wants. I also plan to weigh in Thursday morning before flying out to Vegas and then not again until the following Saturday so I don't see the water weight gain and panic.

Hi DB, Yes I hit 30 or under net carbs sometimes. I pre log and plan to do all low carb 11/22-11/25 before Thanksgiving. 11/17-48 carbs-21 fiber = 27 net 11/22-43-13= 30 11/23-37-15=22 11/24-43-21=22 11/25-43-15=28

Your BMR changes with age and activity level (I.e, sedentary desk job). I am also hypothyroid which the calculators don't account for. Without accounting for my hypothyroidism my BMR is around 1,300 calories. I exercise 7 days a week but I use those calories on the weekend. I go by a weekly deficit rather than daily (i.e…

I'm a snacker so I try to eat small amounts during the day. I start with black coffee and several cups of hot tea, then around 10 am I have a 160 calorie protein shake, 2-3 hours later I have lunch which today is a high carb day so I'm eating tuna with light mayo on a sandwich thin - 205 calories. Snacks I have an apple…

That is the best feeling ever isn't it? I love when I go down a size because it shows all the hard work I've put in is working.
-
That's amazing! I tried on my size 10's and 9's and I was able to get them on, but they are too tight to wear. I was able to walk my 10,000+ steps on Tuesday in a dress without my rash guard shorts and I didn't get the painful rash I used to get so that was a mini victory for me.

Exactly!!! Yuck!!!!

Thanks Laura. I agree about the meat. I'm always trimming all the fat and blood spots off of the chicken I eat. I can't even eat steak because I can see the fat.

Thanks Sue.
