Welcome and good job!

114... I had a low last night of 59 and ate an apple to bring it up. Maybe a reaction to that.

Good for you!! Sounds like you're on a good path!

Woohoo! Congrats! I've found that the gym is pretty key to keeping my blood sugars good too.

Kudos to you for getting back on the wagon! I've fallen off it a few times myself. Some days I wake up and feel like I just don't want to take care of the beast, but it never goes away. I agree diabetes is an odd thing. Sometimes there's just no obvious explanation for a spike.

Thanks for the encouragement, Amber! You should have seen my numbers a year ago though... >.<

Hi Kaye, I took a look at your diary. I like the way you post your test results along with your meals. It makes (or will eventually make) it easier to connect the dots between what you eat and your blood sugars. Morning blood sugars can be odd. There are some physiological things that happen overnight that can cause your…

71...? After reading leanmachine's post, I decided to do a second test and got 78. Have been in the low 100s the past couple days. Worked out last night, with 30 min on the elliptical. Had dinner and a snack afterward. Pretty usual for what I do every other day. Not sure why it would be so low today.

deejayy, I've been a T2 for over 10 years. My worst a1c was over 11. I think a lot of us go through times where we like to pretend we're not diabetic. Don't beat yourself up. You're doing the right thing now, and you have such a beautiful baby to be healthy for! Test, watch what you eat, exercise, sleep...and enjoy the…

Hi, my name is Cindy. I've been on MFP for years but never realized until recently that there were support groups. Like so many folks, I'm working on improving my health for the new year. I was diagnosed with T2 over 10 years ago. It's taken a long time for me to find the right combination of therapies to control my BGs,…

What trillion30 said. More than likely they will be happy to show you what to do and how to do it. When my husband and I joined our gym, we purchased a 12-week body transformation program as well, where a personal trainer creates workouts and diets for us and monitors our progress. I've lost 18 lbs in 8 weeks and gained a…

I am a type 2 diabetic, diagnosed over 10 years ago. I manage my blood glucose with diet, regular exercise (weight training and cardio), and medication, but I do not currently use insulin. I've been uncontrolled and I've had good control of my BG, and life is definitely better with good control. :) My food diary and my…
