Hi everyone, Feel free to friend me if you'd like :) I'm motivated and on track right now, but I know those lulls are coming and would love support and to support you as well :) NJMrountree - the comparison to alcoholism is dead on. I am now convinced that I am also struggling with alcoholism, although never really…

I'm always curious to the same thing. I have a binge eating disorder, but never am triggered by sweets. I will frequently turn down ice cream because the idea of sweet just makes me shudder with displeasure. I also hate the aftertaste of milk, and I can always detect it in ice cream. Chips, salty things, savory things,…

Thank you - I tried some of this today. I prepared myself for the storm and set my expectations. I also had a small snack right before that I ate with the intention of savoring. It kept me pretty grounded. :) That was good to be preventative on a situation I know tends to derail me. But what about the ones I can't predict?…

There is some debate over milk lowering iron as well. (calcium inhibits iron absorption.) So if you are eating iron rich cereal, go easy on the milk. My 7 year old son is anemic and his pediatrician has him on flinstones with iron. Its been a mild improvement.

Did anyone else hate Pink coming back in a dream in the Christmas Episode? I was so annoyed. They could have ended the episode with Clara old, and I would have done a dance in my living room. Looks like more of the same next season. Moffat, you are killing Doctor Who and me at the same time.

Had a stressful situation in early september that derailed me. I binge ate my way from 154 to 171. So yea. That happened. But I came back, and now I'm at 165 after only 2 weeks. Most of that is water loss and glycerin but I am encouraged that weight loss can be done again Just get yourself back into a healthy mindset and…

I ate paleo for two days and already I'm seeing an improvement in my chronic hives problems. I've done it in the past and have found it a little more expensive to get the higher quality ingredients, but my body is always happy. I can't do it all of the time, but I definitely try out paleo recipes when I can :)

I have two herniated discs and arthritis in my back. (and I'm only 37) Losing weight is supposed to help. Walking is a great way to go. I'm trying to do the same thing. I also take it up to a jog in the warmer weather. I have the fitbit ultra and its a great tool :) I also just got the withings scale and its been very good…

Good idea! I didn't think of a spreadsheet. Does Google Docs have a spreadsheet option so I can do it on the road if I'm not home? Just wondering out loud - I'll go research now.......

I do this type of thing too and it always ends with a 10-20 pound gain. In fact I was just about to do something similar when I read your post and the replies and remembered that its not about the final goal. Its easy to fantasize about the thinner you kayaking around, looking great in a bathing suit, but to turn that…

Hello! Good luck :) Happy to hear that you are recovering nicely. I also have some back issues - arthritis and herniated discs. Things are hurting more than usual when I exercise, but all the more reason to lose some of the weight. We can do this!

Hello from NY ☺ The word reset just grabbed me this morning. That is exactly what I think I need to do as well. I know once I am eating properly and consistently making good choices, that each day, it gets easier and feels more natural. But those first few days definitely feel like a reset. wishing you luck and a great…
