this almost made me cry...

A lame attempt on Coca-Cola's part to seem health-oriented while still trying to get people to consume their product. People can lose weight without exercise. (I'm not saying that is ideal, just that what Coke says is not entirely true and they should leave that stuff to the scientists)

salad dressing - I usually combine paleo mayo with ginger and lemon and buzz it with a little blender and wala! Great and fresh tasting over salmon & spinach. Also tuna salad, chicken salad, or as a sauce base

Zenbelly. mmmmm I'm going to have to check out Well Fed, though. Also, Nom Nom Paleo, and The Paleo Kitchen. Paleoleap.com, meatified.com, stupideasypaleo.com and PaleoOMG.com are all good sites for recipes too. (I just typed those from memory so if you can't find them, just google them and pick the site that looks closest…

This is how it works for me. Alcohol is the one thing I have cravings for - I don't crave sugars, breads, dairy, or anything like that. However, when I am eating enough fats and proteins, I don't crave my cocktails as much. I drink either Vodka (Ciroc brand of Vodka is distilled from grapes), Tequila, or dry white wine…

Yes, this is true. Very very true. And the more people, the worse it gets. Outside of medication there are little ways of taking steps to cope with the anxiety, but it isn't as easy as just telling yourself no one is watching.
-
There are a lot of great suggestions here, and I think you have to figure out if you are just nervous or if you have an anxiety disorder. With the latter, it is a little more complicated than just telling yourself no one is looking. Working through anxiety is a slow and deliberate process. It takes figuring out what the…

This is my personal experience. If I eat a meal too close to a hard workout, I feel queasy during the workout and everything seems to take more effort. If I haven't had anything to eat for too long before the workout I'll eat a banana and drink some water - that helps.
-
Both, I think. I do 3 days a week of each on alternating days.

...stupid yummy Indian food

I eat Paleo but I also keep track of my calories and macros to make sure that I am eating enough and staying at a deficit. Doing this since September I have lost 45 pounds and have about 15 to go.
-
This made me giggle.

Yep - Today's segment in that series made me think of half of the forum "debates" I've seen on here. The nutritionist says as long as you eat less calories than you burn, you'll lose weight but "not all calories are equal" and encouraged people to use most of their calories on more nutrient-dense foods even though you will…

I saw that conversation go down yesterday before they took down the moderation thread. You are right, there was never a real answer to the "overeating grapes v oreos" question. To the OP's question of choosing Primal or Paleo, I also think it is personal preference and research. I started and pretty much stick to Paleo,…

I just googled it too. I haven't heard of it before now. It looks complicated and not very Paleo/Primal

I like my Flex because I can wear it in the shower and pool, and it tracks my sleep. The cons are battery life and sleep quality (ironically) because if you sleep with your hand or arm under your head, it gets in the way. However, if the Zip tracked sleep, I would have just stuck with that as I think it is more accurate…

Okay so he is proving that no-sugar doesn't work...for what? So, because Matt Lauer didn't like the foods, that made him the honest person? There were some foods in this series that he didn't like that the others did. It doesn't prove anything except that they all have different tastes. Is your point more that they…

LOL yes! This and the reflection on my iPad used to look/feel like this! hahaha

Most of the places I know that sell it, sell it in shots. People just down it like a shot of tequila.

...yeah...I still don't know if I have had a hot flash but I either wake up and my AC says it is 71 degrees even though it feels more like 80 degrees, or it is the middle of the day and I just feel really warm for a bit. Even though the thermostat has been the same temperature all day, I haven't. Is that a hot flash? And…

Since your doctor said for only 3 months...that might work, but you will need to have a plan for what you will eat on your vegetarian diet (there are so many delicious options) and a plan for when you switch back from a vegetarian diet (you can't just go back to the same ole way of eating, if that is what your doctor…

Since you have probably already eaten, take the advice of those who say "log it, take a walk, and keep eating at a deficit after this." It is understandable that since you are new to eating at a deficit that you are anxious to be around food that you are trying to eat less of. But, you got this far so just keep on keeping…

I didn't notice a lot of difference in my PMS when I started Paleo, but in the past couple of months my hormones have been nuts. I suspect my age, and like homesweeths mentioned, I'm tweaking my healthy fats.
-
What a great husband you have!! What a jerk restaurant owner...I hope you don't go back there.
-
Are you saying you gained weight because you weren't eating?
-
that extra shot of tequila...

I schedule it right after work so I go straight from work to a class or training session. That way I don't get a chance to go home and change my mind.
-
Yes - this is so true. I have lots of people asking me about how I lost weight, then they want to know more about Paleo, and I get them pointed in the right direction, and then for whatever reason they give up. (Most often because they just want an easy fix and don't do the research so they don't know the "why" or "what"…

I buy Kratos bars for a quick protein snack when I need one.
-
OMG who is responsible for the snacks in your office??? That's just...I can't even! hahahaha!!! Someone up here on my floor always brings some kind of something to share, and then when they leave for the day they just leave everything out! Entire pastries and whatnot! So, I helpfully toss them out when I leave, since I am…
