@NormInv well no one mentioned it in my feed I can't see anymore (on my phone - I can see the one on my PC for now) and I didn't think to check the community until today lol. Will go check out Lose It now...thanks for the suggestion.

First Fitbit takes away challenges (I don't use Fitbit anymore) and now this. We can complain all we want - they won't change it. Fitbit didn't roll back and there were thousands of complaints when I last checked. This won't either. Especially if it is the free users who are complaining.

Wow what a shame. There is zero point in having MFP friends anymore, or being encouraged by MFP friends encouraging you. They say it is because no one is using it anymore, but if they hadn't made it more difficult to see your feed in the first place (when they changed the layout) it would get used way more. I'm going to…

Can’t stand this “dashboard” layout. Without Premium the dashboard is laughable. It’s all designed to make it so awkward to use to force ppl to go premium. It took me forever to figure out how to simply post a status update. They didn’t even fix the broken things first.

Do you mean worst like consuming the most calories, or worst based on how your body reacts, or worst like wasting the calories you saved for a cheat day on lame food? (mine would be the third)

Welp, I got on the HRT wagon a few weeks ago. I thought I was going to ride this out with some hot flashes and a few annoying evenings but things intensified pretty quick. It started with depression, then insomnia, then the hot flashes started getting longer and more intense, then night sweats got even worse. Then I got…

I think 2lb per week is a bit ambitious, especially if you are still hungry. Perhaps bump it down to .5 or 1 lb and you will be at goal before you know it. And the advice about adding protein and healthy fats sounds pretty solid too, even if you don't raise your calories.

I eat dessert when I have calories left, I'm on vacation, and someone is shoving it in my face. (otherwise known as left it sitting on the counter)

I'm pretty liberal, and even I think that's taking things too far.

Okay first, that was pretty sucky of your husband to say. What an *kitten*. You probably love him and all but seriously - wtf? Second, I used to believe the myth that you just get heavier as you age. Actually it isn't a myth, it is true if you keep doing the same ole thing. But at 47 I can look back over the past two years…

I used to wonder about this too. And people on MFP pointed out that there is more to "naturally skinny" people than we think. Or less, depending on what you think I guess lol. So, after that bit of enlightenment, when I caught myself thinking "that person is just naturally skinny..." I would pay closer attention. I noticed…

Right?!?! One of only two bummer effects of my weight loss. (the other being genetics/what happens to your skin as you age and lose weight thing)

I do, and I know that misconception is out there. Even my own family, when I got excited about how much I could lift once, started in with "Don't get all bulky, now" or "you don't want to look like those women who look like men" - to which my response was "Do you realize how many hours per day those women lift, and how…

There is a "right" personal trainer out there for everyone. They are as different and individual as we all are. Mine does not yell at me (unless I yell first lol), he's hilarious and makes being at the gym fun, and he encourages his clients, instead of using negative motivation techniques. He doesn't push me too far…

In answer to the "what do I do in between?" question, I don't think you necessarily have to take the other 5 days lightly. I strength train 3x per week (and not super-heavy, I'm still learning) and I fill in a few other days with something more cardio-oriented so that I have at least 4-6 days that I'm doing something for…

This kind of assumes you know when they are going to propose. I got proposed to in the shower. With soap in my hair. I believe that if your significant other proposes to you they aren't waiting for you to look or feel a certain way - they just love you and want to be with you, right?

I use Great Plains (the green canister). It is flavorless and I dissolve it into my tea. I haven't noticed it helping ANY with my loose skin (47, here) but my hair and nails have gotten thicker so, there's that.

Using MFP - kept my calories within the recommendation and logged everything I consumed.

I've always just taken it to mean that exercise alone won't help you lose weight if you aren't paying attention to how much you eat. Most people who that phrase applies to are people who think that they can lose weight just by exercising and still eat any amount of food.

This is just wrong. OP please talk to her pediatrician and do some research about how women develop. Your 13 year old is not going to look like a skinny 11-12 year old ever again (hopefully). She is going to get more curvy as her body prepares her to turn into a woman. I can't tell by your language if you mean she doesn't…

I ate at the calories MFP gave me - 60 pound weight loss, have been able to keep it off for 5 months so far.

^ This. So this.

I use my fitbit to figure my calories burned, too. I can look back at the day before and see if my mfp calories matched or fell below my fitbit calories.

Goat milk yogurt with grapes, honey, and toasted almonds, and a hot cup of chocolate tea. :)

Perhaps water, and you might reconsider the tea idea - there are a TON of different tea flavors now. I didn't used to like tea, but did some experimenting and found that I like green tea with mint and/or chai flavors (Yogi and Tazo brands), and "Chocolate" tea (Numi and Indulgent Tea have choco tea).

^This. Try just cutting back, and making sure you eat protein with your carbs.

boiled egg and a fruit? or that oatmeal up there...that looks kind of satiating
