Good luck! Edited... reading comprehension failure.

Insanity Max 30 T25

This one is great with some heavy dumbbells! JNL lower Body http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cdHEfoorjPI

I like it but it doesn't really get the heart rate up... so I hardly ever do it.
-
Possibly as many as five?

I loved Robert Ullrey's Couch25k programme. It is hard to start with but you feel very good as you get stronger.
-
It's a very good cardio workout.
-
You look good! Big difference!
-
Definitely leave it at once a day a few times a week till you're used to it. If you're left feeling so tired that you spend the rest of your day on your *kitten*, that doesn't help you either.

Fit bit estimates are bogus. However, your calories seem far too low.

The Weightology link given above is excellent.

Insanity Max 30. Very hard, ergo not boring.
-
It's easily my favourite cardio set ever. However, it needs to be supplemented with some weights for best results. :)

I did Week 5 'Conquer' yesterday... actually found it easy. Bit disappointing!

Every fitness gain has been hard-won and I'm determined not to lose it. And damn, you can lose it quickly. Also: I want to be able to pick up however many family members and run if there's a fire or whatever. I survived a natural disaster where, for some, good fitness and quick reactions helped save their lives.

That GIF is gold!

Agreed. Do you have space for this, or a secondhand elliptical?
-
Great combo, but Jillian's stretches are crap. You need to add your own or you will hurt unnecessarily!
-
I love Insanity Max 30! Probably my favourite fitness programme. Have you thought about Jillian Michaels's BodyShred? It is cardio-wise decent rather than amazing, but incorporates decent strength stuff, esp. if you use heavier dumbbells. No pullups though, unlike with Tony.

When my daughter was a baby, I did Jillian's 30DS when she napped and Couch25k when my husband was there to mind her.
-
I think she was probably envious!
-
Did I forget JNL Fusion? Bicep Builder and Lower Body Fusion are great- and Scott Herman is one of her background exercisers. :) Jillian is fab for any level of fitness, but yes, you need to add in better stretching or you will be unnecessarily sore and stiff afterwards.

Don't feel bad- I am sure you lost mostly fat, esp. if you are a woman. Lots of BS merchants on here who live to hector other people from the safety of their computer chair. 30DS is a fab little programme and it was what got me into exercise. I still do Level 2 when time pressed and if you give it your all and use heavy…

When lifting legs off the floor, it's really important to flex your abs first and focus on lifting from there. It's really easy to start arching your back instead, which is a no-no as it puts horrible stress on it. If your core is engaged and your legs are shaking and your back isn't arching, then yes, your abs are…

Hope you get it sorted. X
-
Love it! Doing it 2-4 times a week, mixing in some other stuff. You are going to get fiiiiiiit!
-
Unless you are doing it for specific medical reasons (diabetes management comes to mind), it's probably not going to be terribly beneficial!
-
Wonderful feeling! Congrats!

No way do you need a ten minute warm up and cool down. Five min warmup HIIT workout (intense activity interspersed with recovery... usually slower movement, but can be more like resting) Cool down only if you want to... I don't bother as your heart rate comes down quickly anyhow. Stretching as necessary (3-6 mins) 10 whole…

Great work finding a way to fit some exercise into a sedentary desk job, OP. As a next step, can you add some into your commute? Every little helps and the first steps into a fit life are the hardest, I think.
