The way I see it I'm shooting for a 400-500 calorie deficit daily regardless of exercise or not. If I go and burn 700 calories working out, I'm sure as heck going to make sure I eat them back otherwise I'd be at a 1100-1200 deficit for the day.

Cool, I know of them. I've listened to a lot of 80's firstwave black metal; but not as much thrash/heavy/etc.

You into Pantera by chance? Definitely my favourite from the 80's

Haha Growlo. Yeah that makes sense!

Listened to them for the first time a couple days ago. Not too bad, although I'm usually into heavier vocals.

My motivation is the reminder that I have control over my life and what I do with it. I use this even when I don't have a long term goal for something, basically how I get all of my motivation.

Went from not being able to run a kilometer in June 2014 to half marathon by around August. Just ran regularly, made sure I was sleeping properly, and I'm pretty fit already so that helped but it was the cardio lacking.

I like eating back burned calories because whenever I exercise I love knowing I have an extra snack/meal waiting for me. As I said in another thread though I may switch to only eating back maximum of 70% of whatever I burn. Whenever I exercise I always underestimate how much I burn (for example at the gym if I run 5km and…

I'm set to "Light Activity" on my profile and I just eat back my calories. I may switch to eating back only half as that sounds good too; but there is no way I could ignore 800+ calories burnt after a solid run and then make it through my day as if I don't need to recover them...

Wishing you the best pal! Some suggestions for getting started: - Make sure you have a set goal, and a reasonable one. For cutting weight for example take baby steps to alter your current habits, as it would be hard to just suddenly swing everything around. Also if you want I'd love to add you and see how you do!

I am in by no means a vegetarian; but I am a student, and as a result I am broke. Meat is expensive so I'm making due with tofu.

I want to have a bowl of cereal, despite having no milk... or cereal.

Best of luck! Winter break was difficult for me as well... University gym opens tomorrow so I'm really psyched about that.

Yeah I noticed this for myself as well; except with rap. I listen to pretty much just metal but during a workout I may put on DMX or Crossroad by Bone Thugs n harmony (which isn't even an intense song).

Personally I'm a big black metal fan; but I'm getting into thrash/power/speed to get some diversity among the subgenres. Current song: Whispered - Thousand Swords

I'm going towards 7-8%. Just making sure I'm losing weight, the amount of time it takes isn't a big issue for me. Eating healthy/making sure I have a calorie deficit, and keeping physically active. I'm sure this stuff varies for gender/age though. I'm 18, my weight/muscle mass fluctuates so easily which is convenient...

Your "about me" profile section is fascinating to read. Keep up the good work man!
