I did my first spin class yesterday. Probably fit in two a week for 2015.

Pairings of jumping jacks, mountain climber, floor jacks, jump squats, alternate lunges with jump, ladder drills, air squats, straddle jumping risers (2 lifts), slamball squats and dreaded burpees are in my daily Tabatas. Nice thing is very little equipment is needed just your determination to finish the set. Twice a week…

I'll be finishing a group class this month and think this is the year to move onto strength training. Read a few convincing books on its effectiveness for seniors.

The Timex chest HRM's have been good value and reliable performers. I use it to try and stay above the 85% zone. HR and bar graph is my default view. The newer monitors have a snap off pod for safer strap washing.

Family presented me my own TRX kit. Now waiting for a wall stud anchor to get it securely mounted.

Finished off 2014 yesterday with personal record of 12 Tabata sets done non-stop. Just a puddle at the end!

I use a chest strap HRM to help keep me in the 85% zone. Not really interested in the amount of calories burned, just that they're in the flammable stage. And then once in a rare while, I hit max 161.

"No meat on the butt" so I wear padded cycling shorts for comfort on floor exercises and TRX. Loose, longer jerseys do an adequate job of obscuring the crotch area. Glasses are off when I'm actually working out, so I can't see anybody seeing me.
