  • No movement again this week, but tbh I'm just glad I didn't gain - it's not been a good week. Lots of stress, and emotional eating as a result. No exercise whatsoever. Still feeling pretty low and no real motivation to stick with my plans, so I will just hang on as best I can for now. Highest Weight: 78 kg Challenge start…
  • No movement on the scales at all this week, but the overall trajectory is still in line with my goals so I'll take it. Highest Weight: 78 kg Challenge start weight: 78 kg 12 Week Goal Weight: 71.5 kg Ultimate Goal Weight: ~ 63 kg Weigh In: 12/30/19 - 78 kg 1/6/20 - 75.9 1/13/20 - 76.9 1/20/20 - 75.3 1/27/20 - 75.3 2/3/20 -…
  • So far this challenge weightloss has been anything but the steady half kilo per week I was anticipating, with another big loss this week. I fully expect to have gained half of it back again next week! 😆 Highest Weight: 78 kg Challenge start weight: 78 kg 12 Week Goal Weight: 71.5 kg Ultimate Goal Weight: ~ 63 kg Weigh In:…
  • I'd like to join too... I lost 2kg in the first week of January, then gained one back in the second. 🙄 Feeling miserable yesterday because of work I decided to binge in the evening - an actual decision, which I justified with 'I haven't done it in a long time, and I'm not weighing in for another week'. 😳 This is the kind…
  • I don't know how tall you are, but looks like you've lost a lot already and it *does* get slower at lower weights. Don't lose motivation - you're still losing, after all! Also, do you measure anything other than weight (inches lost, body fat etc)? If you've changed your workout routine, perhaps you're gaining muscle?
  • It seems to me that often the numbers don't move in parallel the way we expect or want them to o a weekly basis - we lose inches but not weight, weight but not fat etc. It's useful to measure different aspects for that reason; we can see that something is happening and it will all align in the long term. :)
  • A 1kg gain was not what I was hoping for this morning, although body fat % has reduced from last week so at least that's something. I know weight fluctuates, so will try not to get too hung up on this but instead focus on the fact that I've stayed pretty much within my calorie goal, and that I'm still on track for 0.5kg…
  • So the whole 'get up early and do yoga before work' really isn't working out so well, but at least this evening I've been to my regular yoga class! Day 4 of Home tomorrow.
  • Off to an encouraging if slightly exaggerated start, with 2.1 kgs lost this week. TBH I was half expecting a big drop right at the beginning as I think some of last week's weight was post holiday bloat. General dehydration this morning also played a role in the loss I suspect! OTOH, I *have* been eating fairly well this…
  • Day 3 done. Seemed gentler than day 2, which for me was good as feeling a bit down and blue today (going back to work tomorrow, holidays definitely over). From tomorrow, my intention is to get up early and do the sessions before work - should be a good way to start each day!
  • Day 2 done. In addition to zero upper body strength, I apparently also have zero hip flexibility. This challenge is really bringing home how badly I need this!
  • I'm doing this too! Just completed day 1 (a day late - perhaps I'll catch up by doing two sessions in one day at some point). I love her style of teaching. My yoga practice has been so patchy over the last year and I'm stiff, weak and heavy, so would love to be consistent with this through January.
  • Joining in for the new year! I am currently the highest weight I have ever been, which is about 5 kgs (~ 11 lbs) above a healthy BMI. I'm aiming to lose 0.5 kg (~ 1 lb)/ week, but as long as I am no longer in the overweight category by the end of the challenge I'll be happy. Highest Weight: 78 kg Current Weight: 78 kg 12…
  • Hi! I'm eating mostly vegan, but do have the occasional dairy and - rarely - meat. Can I join anyway? I find it motivates me to stick to plant based when surrounded by others who are. 😊 I'd also be really interested in other vegans' experiences with macros, especially protein. Yes, there are plenty of plant-based sources,…
  • I can relate to a lot in your post - trying to stay plant based (although some meat and, especially, dairy still makes its way into my diet from time to time), the struggle with depression, and similar weight stats. I'm pushing 170lbs right now and want to get to about 143, although my first goal is to get to a healthy BMI…
  • Another here who has battled depression and anxiety. Definitely an emotional eater too!! In the moment, I just don't care - how does gaining weight matter when NOTHING matters, right? I do believe there's a way out though, and happy to offer any support I can. I will add you!
  • I really get where you're coming from! I used to work out 6 days/ week often twice a day, did kickboxing, ran half marathons... Now I go for a run maybe once every other week and even that is an improvement on 6 months ago. Add me if you like - I am also totally sick of where I've let myself sink to and have decided that…

  • Don't give in! Has this been happening for a while, or just this week? There are so many factors that can mess things up on a week to week basis, especially hormones if you're a woman. Even if it's been a trend for a while; are you getting smaller even if not losing weight? I should imagine CF builds quite a bit of muscle?
