  • I had an unplanned week off training; turns out incorporating hills into my running while simultaneously upping the intensity on my gym workouts was too much for my body to handle and it went into some kind of flu-like recovery state. Could barely drag myself out of bed for work 😬 Lesson learned, going to be better with…
  • Hi there! I'm in north Herts, I escaped London (Bayswater) three years ago and am happy to have done so though I actually miss running in Hyde Park 😆
  • Thanks! I'm not actually signed up to any race, I'm just aiming to complete the programme by end of July. I want to join the local running club and I need to be able to run 10k to do that. Good luck with training for your 5k, it sounds like you're being very consistent which should work very well for race day 🙂
  • I will not have a mileage goal for June but just aiming to continue with c210k, which means completing week 8 of the programme by the end of the month. I completed week 4 this morning (I'm in the UK); ended up at 5k on a very hilly course so feeling quite exhausted but very pleased with myself now ☺️
  • c210k this evening; week 4, with 5 min run/ 3 min walk intervals x4. Those 5-minute intervals are tough which is incredibly humbling, and I realise how much I took fitness for granted before all the injuries started piling up. Was feeling quite run down last week, but hoping it's temporary - and today's run was definitely…
  • Thanks for the welcome everyone! @chris_in_cal PF is, quite literally, a major pain: I have tried to start running again several times in the last four years (sometimes too soon/ before fully recovered) but always had to stop within a couple of weeks. I *think* I've got the triggers and rehab exercises worked out now, so…
  • I have just found this challenge after setting myself a rather ambitious one year goal for May 2025: to beat my previous half marathon PB, just over a week before I turn 50. For context I haven't run since 2020 when plantar fascitis put a stop to training so I'm now very cautiosly starting back up by using Couch 2 10k, and…

  • Exercise: 15 mins walking Tracking: yes Calories: no Pass days to date: 3 Today I was so far beyond my calorie limit I wasn't even going to log it, but I don't want to fall off that cliff so it all went in in the end. Re mindset; in the past it made a difference to me when I thought about food in terms of looking after my…
  • Exercise: 75 mins walking Tracking: yes Calories: yes Pass days to date: 2 Re NEAT; I am really bad at moving while in the house, but since I got rid of my car three years ago I automatically do quite a bit of walking when going shopping, getting to the train station etc. To be fair, the town I live in now is tiny and…
  • Exercise: 22 mins yoga + 15 mins walk Tracking: yes Calories: no Pass days used to date: 2 I am generally very fond of planning and record keeping so tracking is inherently appealing to me, but when I go off the rails with eating I tend to also fall off the tracking. I sometimes pre-track but usually not. I think one of…

  • Exercise: only 10 mins Tracking: yes Calories: no Pass days: 1/ 3 I actually made good food choices and was only over by a little - had I managed to get myself out the door for another 15 min walk I'd have been fine on both exercise and calories. So it's a pass day, but not one I'm beating myself up over.
  • Exercise: 20 mins walking Tracking: yes Calories: yes Today is Pancake Day in the UK but by the time I'd finished work I wasn't at all in the mood and made a poke bowl instead - and came in just within my calorie margin. Good start to the month.
  • Exercise: no Tracking: yes Calories: no
  • Exercise: no Tracking: yes Calories: yes A bit of a down day, hence no exercise - but on the plus side at least I didn't emotion binge. I really want to start running again, so my aim for tomorrow is to do the first day of the C210k programme. I've been meaning to do that for a while; hopefully stating the intention here…
  • Exercise: no Tracking: yes Calories: no Coming in to the last week of February I am going to try to be better at hitting the targets each day. I joined halfway through the month and my only real goal has been to check in every day to get into the habit, which has been achieved so far. In march I want to commit fully to the…

  • Exercise: no Tracking; yes Calories: no I'm also in a red alert area, and also didn't leave the house! Was planning some home workouts instead but that didn't happen... Back on it tomorrow. Re tracking macros, I mostly look at protein since I eat very little meat and dairy. Like @BMcC9 I don't worry about carbs as long as…
  • Exercise: 30 mins walking Tracking: yes Calories: yes The question for today is interesting for me because it is something I have been thinking about a lot. So much has changed in my life in the last 18 months, I'm at a point of trying to work out who I am now - I don't know yet, but I'll keep trying new things in the hope…
  • Exercise: 20 mins yoga Tracking: yes Calories: no I struggled to think of a NSV yesterday, but I guess the fact that I had a box of chocolates delivered and haven't touched them will count!
  • Exercise: no Tracking: yes Calories: yes Today was so much better than yesterday, and although my food choices weren't necessarily the best, I did end the day under budget. Hoping I will sleep better tonight. 🤞🏻
  • Exercise: 27 mins yoga Tracking: no Calories: no I'm not sure what happened today. Something about deserving chocolate because it's valentine's day, which then turned into a crazy overeating session in the evening. I am now awake at 3am after 3 or 4 hours sleep, feeling physically and emotionally overwhelmed. It's been a…
  • Exercise: yes, 45 mins walking Tracking: yes Calories: yes What makes my soul happy.. right now it's my home, spending time alone with books and tea and candles.
  • Exercise: 2+ hours of walking Tracking: yes Calories: no I walked a LOT today, but apparently I ate and drank even more.. 🥴
  • Exercise: just over an hour fast walking Tracking: yes Calories: no Not keeping track of pass days in February as I started partway through the month and am using this time to get back into good habits again
