Congrats on your 500 day streak @chris_in_cal! I still get the newsfeed, for now.
Once the feed is gone, is there somewhere else where the streak count still shows up, or will it be lost forever?3 -
@Laurz9191 loving it. Long easy runs are so calming and refreshing. Hoping better running weather comes along instead of being attacked by the heat.
20 minute easy run. Really need to keep my speed in check. Avg 160 SPM, need to get that to an average of 180 SPM.

@daria0919 My streak count still shows up on the home page when I log into MFP on my laptop, which no longer has the newsfeed. I think it is interesting that earlier today, I still had the newsfeed on my phone.

I did a driveway wun this morning. I walked 0.5 miles for warm up, then did a 1/1 min run/walk x 12, then walked 0.7 miles for cool down. It wasn't horrible. Pace was pretty slow, but better than yesterday. Avg was 13:37 min/mile. Overall, the avg HR was 128 with a max of 152 bpm.4 -

Ok - @quilteryoyo I have only used the App, never a computer. I finally found it on the App when I touch “more” on the bottom right. Thanks!2 -
I'm so happy right now. Another great run, albeit with legs that are a bit tired from yesterday but I minimised this by avoiding Heartbreak Hill and sticking to the flat(ish).8

I wish I had this discipline for Z2 training. Your method seems a lot more digestible though.
Hectic day tomorrow. I have an interview which the admin has told me they will call me impromptu as a notice that they will send an interview link same day. No context as to if it's a general interview, a technical one, or even how long it will take. I'll either have to wake up for a 6AM run or wait until post-close. Easy 20 minute run. Still studying for any surprises this ad-hoc interview may come with.6 -
June Goal: 215 Miles
6/2: 11.02 miles
6/3: 3.15 miles
6/4: 6.26 miles
6/5: 1.10 miles
6/6: 6.27 miles
6/7: 6.51 miles
6/9: 10.02 miles
6/10: 3.15 miles
6/11: 5.51 miles
52.99/125 miles completed for June
I'm posting two runs. I ran 3.15 miles on Monday. It was 76°F with humidity at 78% and dew point of 68°. I was tired from my long run on Sunday, so I was pretty slow. But it was a nice run. Today it was about the same temperature, but the humidity was at 100% and the dew point was 74° so it seemed worse. I was more rested today though and the run didn't seem as tough and my average pace was about 45 seconds faster. I did get up a little late so I didn't haven't as much time to run. But that was kind of nice because it was light for the whole run. I enjoy running in the early morning when it is already light out. I saw a couple of dogs yesterday. They ran towards me barking and I threw rocks at them. Well, just in their direction. I saw a possum today. He didn't bother me at all.

6/10: 6.4 miles
6/11: 3 miles
Quick one before work. Well, the distance was short but definitely not quick. I haven’t acclimated at all yet and we are in the throes of summer. I remember suffering at the beginning of the summer last year and how runs felt relatively easier by August and I keep reminding myself of that as I drip sweat and feel like I can’t breathe through the humidity. I’ve been on my treadmill way more this year because I’m avoiding the grossness but I’m missing outside and this week is just normal summer, not 80 at sunrise summer like we had earlier this month. So, I will go outside and sweat and long for the 50F days that @Laurz9191 is having right now!7 -
03/06 3.69 miles
06/06 4.33 miles
07/06 4.07 miles
09/06 4.08 miles
Total 16.17/50 miles
Got a run on Sunday morning and pan for another this evening. I'm behind on the posts.

5 miles yesterday. I have no idea why sometimes I feel ok and others not so much as far as pace anymore. LOL. The effort feels the same yet on some days I can do splits under 10 and others I can't break 12. 😳😳🤷♀️
44 to day out of 100 goal for the month.
I am missing the feed on the web but until I update my phone I can get a small fix with a few folks posting or at least auto posting. Glad to see so many folks here! Happy Hump day!

Morning all
Got in 5.65 at 09"445 -
Hi everyone!
I had a nice and easy 10k run this morning. It was under 50F @martaindale ! I can’t believe it is still so cold here. It’s like winter part 2. I refuse to wear long running pants in June, so I opted for a lightweight running jacket and long compression socks.
90.9/200km for June.5 -
My feed was gone this morning. Glad to see your flower picture @SummerSkier . I always enjoyed them on the newsfeed. Today is a rest day for me. So just did some yoga.8
-
Great running @ContraryMaryMary .
@VO2Maxlet I hope the interview goes well.
Nice running @kgirlhart . I'm glad you were able to chase the dogs away.
Great consistency @chris_in_cal !
Nice running @BeverlyW1108 !
Nice @martaindale . Heat is so hard to get used to.
Nice running and flower @SummerSkier . Some days are just harder. If we could figure out why and how to make them all easier, we'd be rich.
Nice running @Laurz9191 . Enjoy the weather while you have it.
My newsfeed is gone from my phone today, so it's totally disappeared. I do miss it. I had some good friends there that I'll be loosing touch with.6 -
I got in 5.04 miles this morning. I had a dental appointment at 7 am so I was afraid I would have to cut it down to 4 miles to get showered and to the appointment on time but my running friend texted me as I was driving to town and canceled so I didn't have to wait for her to arrive and no one to chit-chat with afterwards so I made it with time to spare.
@martaindale - It was 55F here and I didn't really feel the humidity so pretty nice running weather.
Good luck with your interview @VO2Maxlet !6 -
03/06 3.69 miles
06/06 4.33 miles
07/06 4.07 miles

Total 20.43/50 miles
Had a better run than I thought it was going to be9 -
In miles:
June 1: 2.28 run + .62 walk
June 2: 1.69 run + .31 walk
June 4: 2.50 run/jog
June 12: 2.20 walk (testing out sprained knee)
Never noticed my sprained knee yesterday, so no pain. Measured knee circumference daily to keep track of swelling (was 2.25 inches larger at height of swelling). No swelling today, so went out for a test walk.
Husband said he’ll walk our Sunday Father’s Day 5K with me, instead of us running (so as not to aggravate the knee). Love that guy! 😍8 -
I had an unplanned week off training; turns out incorporating hills into my running while simultaneously upping the intensity on my gym workouts was too much for my body to handle and it went into some kind of flu-like recovery state. Could barely drag myself out of bed for work 😬 Lesson learned, going to be better with rest days until fitness improves
So I am a week behind on the c210k, but I got my first run for week 5 in today, 3.8k9 -

You were up early @Teresa502 ! Great run.
@mari333a Love that your run was better than expected.
@daria0919 So glad your knee isn't swollen and the walk didn't hurt. Your DH is great and I hope you both enjoy the 5K.
@josefinejem I'm glad you are feeling better and have learned something from it. Great job getting a run in today and don't forget, if it is too much to start back where you stopped, you can repeat a week. No one cares.5 -
June total: 41.2/100 miles

6/8: 2.8 miles
6/10: 6.4 miles
6/11: 3 miles
6/12: 6.5 miles
I finally just accepted that I need to return to the summer routine I figured out last year. So today I made sure to keep the pace easy, instituted short walk breaks at the top of each mile, froze my hydration pack overnight, and took the salt tabs on a schedule. It was still hot and humid but not as much of a struggle.
I'll probably still use the treadmill some, but I am going to make an effort to get outside so I can acclimate faster.8 -

June 12 - Walk 1.00 miles - Ran 0.00 miles - treadmill - Gym 37:32 - tennis 1h36m31s
27.60/80.0 mile goal
Had a busy day. I went to the gym early - mostly legs again. Then, I played doubles tennis with the more social group today (talk more, play less, and less intense). Afterwards, I worked at the daycare for almost 4 hours. When I got home, I walked a mile on the treadmill and got ready for church tonight.
We only played a couple of sets of tennis. Me and my first partner won tied 6-6. We just left it at that. Me and my second partner was ahead 5-2 when we had to quit because of appointments others had. It was fairly fun, but not a huge calorie burn. My fingers did okay, even though they are still swollen today. I was babying them and didn't grip my racquet real hard, so decided against playing with the harder hitters tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll be back to "normal" next week.5 -
Aww. Acceptance is hard sometimes @martaindale . Glad you did better with the heat today.2
-
@daria0919 hope the knee gets better. Injuries suck.
@Teresa502 always nice to get in one more mile when you're feeling it. Super glad you could make it!
@Laurz9191 a bit jealous. We've got heat coming up and when I step out from the cool shade and run into the light it burns. Sun's getting strong over here
@quilteryoyo productive and active day. Sounds like a lot of fun
Thanks all for the wishes. The admin called today and post poned for tomorrow so I have one more day to review.
I ended up doing my easy run early today. Woke up at 6:30. Out the door ~6:40
20 minutes
132 average HR
160 average SPM
Back to basics tomorrow. Bringing the metronome. It wasn't so easy since I couldn't do my morning ritual on the porcelain throne. Pretty sure those spikes are just a boost from natural propellant.
Easy run tomorrow. Another 20 minutes.6 -
Neighborhood 1Mile (at 13"25 pace). Day 43
I waited till the sun was setting, then waited some more, then some more, so I ended up with a nighttime run. If left in the wild I'd be an 8:00 a.m to 2:00 a.m person. Six hours of sleep is average.6 -
So I know my last few posts have been me going on about how I’m finally back to form, but besides the fact it’s simply a huge relief to me (I haven’t been running well since early December) as it’s not me ‘just getting older’ as a few people told me.
Today, I had an easy 10k, and while my legs were tired from the past week’s running, my body got on with the job – no more simply not being able to. I could happily cruise at a respectable pace, albeit with slightly achy legs, but my heartrate remained low, my lungs were good, and my head was happy.
Rest day tomorrow. Looking forward to going out for coffee and cake and doing the school run in nice clothes instead of mismatched running gear and a daggy hat.
On that topic, how precious are you about your running getup? I know my coach once ran a ‘mismatched clothing’ as a lockdown challenge and I was like, who’s running gear is ever coordinated. But there must be some right?
I’m getting better at throwing out t-shirts when they get stinky, but I have more than one hat that needs to be given the heave-ho.
On to topic two, who washes their running hats? One of the reasons, in fact the main or only reason, my hats look so terrible is I wash them after every run – I’m a sweaty betty and can’t stand the salt encrusted look my hats will get if I don’t chuck them into the machine.
You’re smashing the tennis @quilteryoyo!
Good to see you embracing the heat, humidity and general ickiness of summer running @martaindale.
As has already been said @josefinejem, there’s no shame in repeating a week or two of C210k. No one cares, getting it done is all that matters. And yes, rest days are your friend!
Good to see the sprained knee is healing @daria0919.
And yay for runs that are better than expected @mari33a.
Where are you @Laurz9191- I ran in a t-shirt today and it’s officially winter here (although I will confess my fingers were completely numb by the end of it.
Loving the flower @summerskier – is it a gerbera? As for the feeling good some days and not on others, have you tracked this against your cycle – running in the follicular phase (starts with your period) is simply easier, while running in the luteal phase (particularly the week before your period) is a lot harder than it ought to be.
Good to see you continuing to over achieve @tarun_yadava!

@Laurz9191 Kilometres and Fahrenheit?
Someone can't decided if they're American or European... Lol
To be fair. It's us in England who are the super awkward ones.
