Not a meme or quote, but can you talk with her about other things she's done in her life that she didn't give up on or feel discouraged about just because other people were better at them? I mean, you can always find someone who's better than or farther ahead than you are, but I bet she didn't give up or get down on…

@_har_T_Swallow Were you not terribly disappointed with the ending? I loved it until the last two episodes..

Interesting.

Holy moly! How did you know that?

I always log half the amount of time I'm in the gym, so if I'm there for an hour, I log 30 minutes. I figure that accounts for my rest times, more or less.
-
I just eat it with berries in it or peaches or applesauce or a little jam or granola. I don't really cook with it..

I admire your strength.

I was under the impression that Whole30 is a tool for determining food sensitivities one may have, so if doing it is making you feel worse I imagine you likely don't have food sensitivities and that it's not a program you need to continue.

I agree that it would be a good idea to seek counseling or some other kind of assistance. I've been listening to a podcast lately called Nutrition Matters, and it's all about having a healthier relationship with food. She talks to a lot of people who have had food issues and have overcome them. That might provide some…

I did this for a bit and liked it. Here's the one I found useful because of the descriptions.

I've tried a few times, but I've had the same outlook as you. I never know if I'm measuring the same way every time, and I just give up. I prefer pictures and clothes and, yes, the scale.

What works for one person may not work for someone else. Yes, it boils down to CICO, but there are all kinds of ways people achieve that successfully. I don't think the prescriptive responses here in the forums are especially useful.

Your original post is mostly empty. Maybe it cut some of it out. Also, ready made meals do not necessarily have accurate calorie counts on them. Also, one week without a loss doesn't necessarily mean you've stopped losing.

I know this probably won't be helpful because I've felt that way before and felt that it was insurmountable, but anyone who's actively disgusted by someone trying to improve their fitness really doesn't deserve a second thought from you. Also, I thought of this that I saw just yesterday...…

Fitness Blender has low impact workouts. Just type that into youtube or google, and you'll find them.

This resonates with me so much. My mom never talked or fussed about her appearance, and I credit my relative lack of focus on the importance of that stuff to her behavior. I don't think there's any reason to keep kids in the dark about health and the disadvantages of carrying a lot of extra weight, but I think if vanity is…

I don't think you have any reason to feel guilty. Just as you're choosing not to stay and watch TV with him, he's choosing not to go out and walk with you. Y'all both just want to do different things, and as long as you two don't stop spending time together and are still connected, it's ok to do different things. As for…

Planning ahead helps me out. I don't have much choice for most of the day because I'm at work, so I have to bring lunch and snacks. Then when I'm at work I tend to plan what I'm going to have for dinner and dessert. It doesn't always work for me, but it has been lately. If you include things you enjoy and look forward to,…

I miss the YMCA! I liked having my choice of where to go. I liked the family atmosphere. I liked the fact that when you pay for a gym membership at a large chain, the gym tends to hold up its end of the bargain with a sufficient amount of working equipment. It's just the military gym for me nowadays though. Don't get me…

@cabronlobos How would you answer the question you posed (the reverse of my question)? Also can you give an example of seeing something as black and later as white? I'm not sure I understand. @born_of_fire74 Thanks for sharing your experience.

@newmeadow What a hard lesson. I hope you've been able to forgive yourself.

Ok, so, for example, you always believed stealing was wrong, no matter what, but then you found yourself in a situation where you started to think maybe sometimes it was justified.

@CyberTone When I create foods on the app, it doesn't give me the option to share them or not.

I've been able to use my foods when using the recipe builder. I wish I could tell you how it works, but they just show up in the search results. I do it on an iPhone.

I haven't done this specifically, but I know that the actual counselor can make a huge difference. If you go in and find you don't connect well with the counselor or you just don't like him or her or whatever it may be, try someone else. Not every counselor is going to be a good fit for every client. Also, just be prepared…

It's not nutritious. It's good for me though because it makes me happy. Ok, happy is a stretch, but it fits nicely into my life.

To be honest I didn't have any intentions. I just responded naturally to something I've also experienced.

I used to do three different machines some mornings because I couldn't stand doing the same thing for very long. I also wanted to change up my movement a little. Not saying this is why the OP is doing it, but I see valid reasons for it is all.
