  • I compete in challenges for fun. They motivate me. Once (on vacation) I got 35,000 steps in one day. Some people in the challenge didn't know I was on vacation walking all over and accused me of cheating. I'm trying to get fit not win any step bragging rights so it would not be in my best interest to cheat. Challenges have…
  • I am not gluten free right now. I have a gastroenterologist appointment in February. If I have an actual diagnosable condition or not I am definitely going gluten free. I know I feel so much better without it. I know because I was on a ketogenic diet and when I reintroduced gluten containing food I felt like I felt for…
  • And weight loss isn't linear. It's up and down over time.
  • 1350 would probably still be a calorie deficit even if you didn't burn any extra due to your bmr. Don't sweat the small stuff (or the big stuff). And even if you ate 2300 you always have tomorrow. It's the day to day consistency that matters not one day in time.
  • I'm giving mine to a woman's homeless shelter. It's hard to find nice plus size clothes in donations. I have a bunch of bags of clothes that I need to take. I am glad I read this to I can go back in the bags and get my biggest pair of pants. I want to take one of those pictures with the big pants one day.
  • I have a polar h7. I pair it with motifit and rock my run. I like keeping track of workouts and the music speeding up to match my heart rate. It is probably so much overkill just to lose weight but it keeps me motivated. On the days I forget it my work out is not as energized.
  • I have a Fitbit flex. I like it but I really like gadgets of all sorts. I have had it for a lite over a year. I took about six months off and started using it again in July. I have friends on the Fitbit app and we do challenges. That motivates me to walk more on days when I just don't feel like moving. Yesterday I took a…
  • I am horrible. I go around liking everything and never even look at the diary. To me it's progress just to log everything and hit complete.
  • @ChoiceNotChance it's really good.
  • Thanks! I am definitely ditching the gluten once I get tested whether I have something diagnosable or not. I am trying to figure out how to get enough gluten for accurate results without gaining so much weight and feeling so yucky. When I was on the protein sparing diet I felt better than I ever remember feeling.
  • I linked zombies run to ihealth and linked ihealth to myfitnesspal.
  • I have a Fitbit linked and ihealth is linked. No use a polar Bluetooth heart rate monitor that I linked to motifit and ihealth so it records in myfitnesspal. I use zombie run sometimes and rock my run. So far I lost between 44 and 47 pounds depending on the day. I need to lose about thirty more. I'm always looking for new…
  • This is my first post in this group. Responding because of the water retention. I don't know if I am celiac or not. I have had horrible pitting edema most of my adult life. No have had many different tests and been to a lot of specialists. Most act like I am sort of crazy and the answer to my edema has always been to lose…
  • This is gonna sound non-breakfasty buuuuuut when I was doing keto every morning I ate: A hard boiled egg (sometimes with the yolk sometimes without), a pack of tuna or salmon, half an avocado, with a little bit of crumbled white cheese (blue cheese, feta, or goat cheese). Sometimes I would put a little muffalatta spread on…
  • Thank you for sharing that. I was wondering what happened to cause my steps not to sync yesterday. I keep reloading and reloading. Restarted my phone.
