  • Feel free to add me! I am always looking for accountabilibuddies.
  • First, awesome job at working out and tracking calories! Your body thanks you, even if it doesn't show up on the scale yet. Secondly, bodies are weird. I have found that my weight fluctuates so much that have to use other measurements (like how my clothes fit, tape measurer) to measure progress. Precision Nutrition has an…
  • Many of us have been in your shoes and felt the shame of regaining weight after having such success in the past. I found the book "How to Have Your Cake and Your Skinny Jeans Too" (silly name, I know) very helpful in terms of helping me finally change my mindset around dieting. It's a lifestyle change, and just know that…
  • Haters gonna hate. As others have said, MFP friends will cheer you on! Seriously, no need for that toxic jealousy. You SHOULD be proud of your progress and you're doing so well! Just change the topic if anyone asks or talks about it at work.
  • Hey there! You can add me as a friend. It sounds like you have a wonderful reason to stay fit. I used to be able to get up early and work out, and now I could use some help staying motivated to log my calories. It's awesome that your eating is on point! I also have been using Supporti to help hold me accountable every day,…
  • Feel free to add me as a friend! I could use all the accountability I can get since I stopped logging a few weeks ago after a weekend trip. I'm also doing Supporti which pairs you with an accountabilibuddy to check in on you every day.
  • I haven't stepped on my scale in a year and a half. Instead, I've tracked my progress with a tape measurer and how tight/loose my jeans are. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially when the scale just drives you bananas.
  • You can add me too. I was tracking every day for a while and then missed a few and am just getting back into it!
  • Hi Justine - I'm so sorry your husband isn't being more supportive! I know how hard that can be. In addition to what others have suggested, I think getting support from other people who have similar health goals as you (a walking or running club, or fitness class, and of course here on MFP!) will encourage you and keep you…
  • Please add me too! I've been bad about checking in and tracking is the only thing that works for me.
  • Yes, I am such an emotional eater! I have found the book "How to Have your Cake and Your Skinny Jeans Too" by Josie Spinardi to be helpful in taking away the "power" of forbidden foods. I still get tempted, but now I have some other strategies to cope when I am stressed, bored, or anxious.
  • I recently tried getsupporti.com where you are matched with a buddy who checks in with you every day to make sure you do your goals. I liked having someone check in with me every day to make sure I did my daily goal (I picked journaling and it made me so clear mentally)...you might want to check it out.
  • Great points about being your own support buddy! I find that when I journal every day it keeps me accountable to myself. Still wondering if anyone has experienced a helpful buddy in their journey...
  • I'd like to join for some accountability! I am 5'4", also back on the bandwagon because I am such an emotional eater.
