One week is nothing. Every other week since I've started losing weight the scale will stay the same, but the next week will show at least a 1lb loss. Just keep at it - if after a few more weeks nothing has changed still, then reevaluate! Until that happens though, don't stress so much!

Add me if you'd like - I'm always up for new motivating friends!

I was actually just thinking about this concept this morning! I wish MFP would add it as a setting. I'd definitely use it. Some days I eat more than others (like most people) So it would be nice if I didn't have to see that huge negative sign every time I do. Glad I'm not the only one who's thought about it!

Basically I feel like you need to decide if her not working out and eating healthy with you is a deal breaker or not. Either you love her and accept her for who she is now with the premise that maybe one day in the future she may decide to do this with you, or you walk away now.

1/1 187.6 1/8 183.4 So 4.2 pounds! Not sure if most of that is water or not, but I'll continue what I'm doing and see how it goes next week. At any rate that's a good start to the challenge! Good luck with your weigh-ins everyone!

Wow, thanks for making my simple spreadsheet totally awesome! I'm not too good with excel coding. I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it! I think it will be good to easily track our progress and that of our peers.

Or let's say there's someone on this board you'd like to add or on any other board you look at. Click on their picture to the left, which will take you to their profile. Then click 'add as friend'.

I made a pretty simple Google Spreadsheet that anyone in the group can use. All you need is to do is follow the link at the end of my post. It'll take you to the document so all you have to do is enter your name and starting weight under the correct sections and do so each week. It saves automatically. I've never made one…

Anyone who would like to can add me. :)

Oh this is so true. I make my husband eat what I eat - but I don't always make low calorie dinners. If I eat really well during the day and have the calories to afford it - I make a higher calorie dinner. If you deprive yourself all the time, especially when your family is eating however they choose, you're bound to give…

I'm supposing you just joined MFP? If so - the first step really is to start logging everything you eat. Do it for a week - you'd be surprised how many more calories you could be eating than you think. Like the others said, though, I doubt you truly ate enough to gain 25lbs. Weight fluctuates for many reasons including…

1/2 - 15 minute cardio +10 JJ/Squats 1/3 - 1/4 - 1/5 - 1/6 - 1/7 - Time to go: 105 mins. I'm just starting out, so please don't laugh at my poor 15 minutes! It's 15 more than yesterday. I'm also tracking steps with a fitbit, so that's a plus.

I'm 22 and looking to lose around 40lbs, so I'd say we're pretty close to the same goals. I'm just starting out myself, so I don't have many friends yet. You can add me if you'd like to.

This is my 'starting over' point, too. We can do this, though! Support is the key.

Alright let's get started everyone! 1/1 weight: 187.6lbs Easter goal: 167lbs Overall 2015 goal: 145lbs

Kathy, I've got to say, your story reminds me a lot of my mom. She's 42, and much in the same boat as you. She battles with depression because of a neglecting relationship and excess weight, too. This is why your story and the beginning of your journey inspires me. I would love to follow you on your path as I walk my own…

So I just joined, and I really want to complete this group goal. I'm not going to lie though - I definitely need some motivation. I'm hoping this group and any friends I make along the way will help keep me active and accountable. I can't wait to start this journey with all of you!
