I weigh every day and always have. that's not to say that I don't put on weight, but at least I know how much and try to stop before doing too much damage.

Yes you can and will do it again. My decision (once I get to goal) is to stay on MFP because it does work. I know that only by monitoring every day, every bite will I get and stay at the weight I want to be. The very best motivation is trying on clothes from my 'too small box' and fitting into them. Now i have a 'too big…

Hi, I'm 65 and lost 10kg since December 26. Stick to MFP, record your eating truthfully and it WILL happen. The weight went on slowly and it will come off slowly. Of course there are some weeks when it doesn't go down or maybe goes up, but I know if I have eaten right, it will work itself out. MFP is an amazing resource…

Fish & potato pie: 140g any white fish cut into strips, 1 diced tomato, 1/2 sliced onion, 30g grated cheese, mashed potato (low fat milk, no butter). Put fish, onion & tomato layered into oven proof dish, cook until fish is tender. Cover in mashed potato, sprinkle cheese on top. Put under grill until cheese is brown. only…

Oh Quasita, it breaks my heart to read your story. What can anyone really say to help each other? In my mind it is not the number of kg/lbs we have to lose, it's the journey to get to our goal. And yes, it's bloody hard but the reward is truly worth it. I am on here every day and I would love to accompany you on your life…

That's missing the point, she wants to know how the MFP database calculates the calories. I must admit it has me stumped on plenty of foods. Anyone know???

I am also on meds for both of those conditions and can but don't exercise. Sorry to say, but it still comes down to what and how much you put in....and I mean food. The progress may be slower without exercise but the weight does come off. Don't give up, it will happen.

My confession: A very long time ago I was craving, really, really craving chocolate. None in the house so ate 4 squares of Laxettes (almost tastes like chocolate) Certainly got rid of everything the next day lol.

Hiya, ss, no wise words of advice for you. Can only pass on what works for me. Just don't starve yourself, drink lots of water and don't start a huge exercise program that you just know you won't be able to follow forever. Think of MFP as a new way of life not just a quick fix.

Have tried many prescription weight loss drugs over the years, acupuncture, diet fads, yes and even hypnosis and they all 'work' at first because my willpower works at first as it does with all new efforts. MFP seems to be working (30 days and counting) and Weight Watchers worked in the past, so it seems to me that I…
