Plus, where have I said cake is an unhealthy option???????[/quote] A few quotes up you said: "Absolutely not. Cake doesn't make it on my healthier food choice list." ?

Vitamin B12 is present mostly in animal products so likely you are getting very little with your vegan diet (which is why B12 supplementation is recommended for vegans).

LOL but sadly true too many times.

Many people do not drink any "pure" water yet they are still alive. Most newborn babies drink only breast milk or formula, yet do not get dehydrated. Your digestive system is perfectly capable of extracting the water from food or beverages that contain water and use it as it would if you drank pure water. If you drink…

You know there is water in juice, soda, coffee, tea, milk etc, right? And the water in those drinks will hydrate you?

Chris Powell recommends a lot of protein powder. I can't see how that isn't highly processed food.

I tried a few of the rice pastas and they just tasted like rice, which although I like rice, was not great as a substitute for pasta sauces. Now I use Catelli or Barilla pasta which are made from a combo of white and brown rice, quinoa, and corn. Much closer in texture and taste to "real" pasta.

You look great. Congrats!

Yeah, that what I have thought that would be the response from vegans. Or that there is some hierarchy i.e cattle > rodents>insects. But haven't seen it explained by vegans.

I've read some but not extensively. But why wouldn't this be answered in these forums? This is a discussion board and have seen this questions asked on many threads with no answer. I'm not trying to attack veganism. If I was a vegan, I would ask myself the same question.

You can't decide what is ethical for who. Ethical and morals are a VERY personal matter. For me it is 100% more ethical to eat vegan. And it is EXTREMELY unethical to eat a cow. And a huge piece of the world agrees with me and has for thousands of years. I am all for you get your ethics and morals and I get mine. But don't…

After a few experiments and internet research, I've come up with a recipe that tastes more like dessert and hides the (icky to me) taste of the protein powder. It is gluten free as well. 5 scoops of protein powder 3/4 cup milk 1/2 cup corn syrup (e.g Beehive) Mix together. Consistency should be wetter than cookie dough but…
