Burgers, hot dogs, broccoli slaw, potato chips, and lemon bars. And an afternoon at the lake. :)

I was a US size 22 at 248. I'm 5'10" and large-framed.

Totally agree with the budget analogy. My MFP and money budgeting apps are right next to each other on my phone. :)

I realized yesterday that I had only one pair of shorts, and they are hand-me-downs from my husband. And too big. Not flattering. Went to four different (non-plus-size) shops, actually tried things on and didn't give up after 5 minutes (NSV1). Lots of things fit in sizes 12 and 14 (I started in a 22). I could make a choice…

Woke up too late to beat the heat, so ran on the treadmill today. 5k in 30:43. 1:45 better than my last 5k race, in 2015. Gotta shave off another 1:11 by early October to match my 20-year PR.

Are they pushing you over your calorie goals? Are they interfering with your intake of nutritious foods? Do you find that the sugar spikes your appetite? No? You're good. For me, I'd probably go for a protein or fiber-rich snack for those calories, because that's what I find satiating. Carbs alone just make me hungrier. If…

C2 has a really good online log. If you use a C2 with a PM5, you can connect your smartphone via Bluetooth with the ErgData app, then sync that up to the log. About form, don't come forward as much at the catch if your belly gets in the way. Don't round your back or let your legs fall sideways. Enjoy!! Welcome back to…

Yes. That's how it works, assuming your activity/exercise calories are estimated accurately. Try it for a while and make adjustments as needed

5'10", age 46, and started at 248. Now down to 188. Goal is 168. I have wide shoulders, big feet, and generally a large frame. I think I've finally let go of feeling unfeminine and huge. Now I prefer to see myself as statuesque and powerful. And, more now than before, athletic. :)

Rest day today. Just reporting in to say that hubs and I have lost a total of 105 lbs together. Life is good, and getting better all the time. :)

Yes. And Cheez-its. Cheese crackers of any sort, really. I used to get the big Costco boxes, thinking I could portion it out for easy snacks for the kids. That was an error in judgement.

Report back on how you like it. I'll have to live vicariously through you until either my current one goes bust (it's already many years old but I'm not holding my breath) OR Christmas. :)

I do this. C25K with jog/run instead of walk/jog. I also sprinkle in some plain-Jane runs and cross-train with rowing. But I've been running for 20 years. I think it's ok to do. Just take it easy and recover generously.

My regular 30-45 min workouts act as an appetite suppressant for me. No workout or a heavy workout? I struggle to stick to my plan, even accounting for the increased calorie allowance.

I get Cheerios and Corn Flakes for the kids, but they just leave me hungry, no matter how much I eat. I get my cold cereal fix from occasional overnight oats (rolled oats, milk, blueberries -- eaten cold after soaking in the fridge overnight).

I'm 60 lbs down, with 20 to go. For weight loss, I focus on calories in and out. For fitness (and to gain a few extra calories), I exercise. For performance, satiety, and general health, I look to nutrition (macros, veg and fruit intake, fat ratio, fiber, etc.). It helps me stay on track with my weight loss to know that I…

Oxo makes good ones. They have one that goes up to 22 pounds. I covet it. My Oxo is great, but maxes out at 5. I have to go through some shenanigans to get the weight of a full pot of chili. https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Stainless-Pull-Out-Display-11-Pound/dp/B007WTI8J2?th=1&psc=1 (The link is for the 11 lb scale, but you can…

Like everything, it's up to you. Some people don't have them because they are a trigger food and they always eat too many for their calorie goals. I like to eat small amounts as an evening snack, along with some fruit. They taste good, I don't have trouble moderating my intake, and I like the fats profile. I just weigh out…

Ran 3m. Started a little late in the morning so got hot pretty quick. I stopped at the auto parts place on the way home and I think the guy was worried about me. He kept commenting on how hot it was outside and how "people" need to be careful. Yes, yes, I know I'm all red and sweaty. I promise I won't die in your shop.…

I can't copy the link from my phone, but I think you're looking for this post title: "Why eating too little calories is a bad idea....."

Rowed on the erg 30 minutes; about 5.8k. Haven't been stretching much lately, so my sciatica leg cramped up before I finished. I got it done, but it was rough going for the last ~1k. New low weight this morning. 60 lbs gone (248>188). 20-ish remain.

I work from home. On the sofa. Often, in bed. I average 2000 steps, but my record low day was 75 steps. I'm sedentary.

We have an early/light dinner with the kids, then take a sunset walk to one of several local places with outdoor seating, and order a drink or two and a shared appetizer. Last week, there was ice cream. Sometimes I end up over my deficit goal, but am usually still under maintenance.

Ran 3m. Got up early (relatively speaking) to do it before it got hot. Back before anyone else was awake. Nice way to start the day.

@sammieb1228 -- There's a setting for voice notifications. Maybe it's turned off on yours? Look in the settings inside the app, and also be sure notifications are turned on in your phone settings.

5 lbs to reach a healthy bodyfat percentage (or thereabouts).

Took my 11-year-old out and about with me today. First, the library for books on astronomy and to ask if they knew of any chess clubs for kids. Then the Y where we rode the bikes with integrated video games for about 30 minutes. I beat him on the track but he beat me catching dragons. Then a quick lunch of Costco hot dogs…

Ran 3m, intervals. Cute turtle!

I'm down to a 36DD from a 44G. I always try to have one or two that fits properly, and rely on stretchy sports bras to get me through the rest of the time. I'd be ok with sticking it out with the old too-big ones, but after a while, they're just uncomfortable and just too unflattering.
