Ive avoided a selfie stick, but picked up one of these this weekend. Sometimes you want family pictures and not leave out the photographer IMO. Just 5 bucks at Steinmart too.…

I think its a "loose" estimate, that said "mapmywalk" gives around 440 for 40 minutes of brisk walking. To me golf is much walking and stretching, plus the grass and hills. Add "afternoon heat" and Im sure your very close to that.

Sometimes I see folks will add a little bit about themselves, goals, struggles, and such. I think there are many folks that would want to have similar age groups, goals ect for folks on the friends list.

On the news this morning they had Taco Bell announcing adding a full bar to a Chicago location. I thought for sure this was a celebration thread. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2015/06/04/taco-bell-alcohol-mixed-alcohol-freezes/28461837/

I wish we would have done this, I grew up thinking "diet" was a punishment and avoided any nutritional teaching. It should have never been something to be scared of. It only took me 46 years to learn on my own, 25 of those as a nurse too. (oh well). LOL

I agree with the "recipe" comparison. 35 plus years ago I worked at a Hagaan Das (sp) and Round Table and we measured everything. RT just wanted consistent pies and HD it was a budget deal. I think many weigh for many reasons and your kids see it everywhere. I think these are the habits our kids see that are really good…

Dryers has a "no sugar added" line up that to me is much closer to the real deal and not too bad on the calories. I tried a few Arctic Zeros and did not finish a couple because they were just so bad. Glad to see some folks agree.

Im with you, I weigh on Thursday morning because it takes M-Th to take off what the previous weekend put on. I know I snack more, we grocery shop and I "taste" everything on the weekends. I have a 5 day weekend this week too so its gonna be a killer. Good luck!!

Ive seen this addressed before, I have not seen any solutions ... yet. I think its very much needed and the sooner it starts the easier the conversion.

I tried the Garmin Vivofit and it broke before the weekend was over. Kind of a let down for me, debating to save for a fitbit or just keep using the phone apps I have.

I quit "cloves" a couple years back and gained a ton of weight, now Im fixing the weight part. Being mindful of this is a awesome step in the right direction and I think MFP is a great tool for that gaining weight battle. I wish I had noticed myself sooner and acted faster. I quit using Zyban but the reality was they…

Welcome Ms.Betty, lots of awesome people and great information to be found here. A couple not so awesome and sometimes the information needs researched, but its a great start. Good luck on your journey and goals.

Super awesome, thanks for sharing this.

In and Out "Protein burger" no cheese is a great replacement and not too awful on calories. I ask for "extra produce" and its pretty much a salad too.

Gratz on the new baby! Logging the "grazing" is hard but a real eye opener just how much a bite here and two bites there can add up to. Myself I made it 46 years with no time for exercise and a DGF diet, my body finally shut down and showed me just how much time I do have for it. (Beats a hospital bed). Good luck on your…

Slightly related, not helpful to thread but interesting (to me). Went with my mom 30 years ago to the "Richard Simmons" show. He showed the audience that his hair is implanted because he lost all of his hair losing weight. Hung out with Tony Dows wife that day too. (Wally Cleaver).
