So in 2009, way before fitbit I did South Beach, got down to 150 and was maintaining well enough. Then I took a job I never ever should have taken and was miserable. Ate all the food, gained all the weight and more, quit the job, got a better one. Last winter I got a fitbit and started using MFP. I got down to 170 and then…

So I've added you but I wanted to say that I too love beer and pizza and I've pretty much admitted to myself that I have to actively fight to keep back the pounds for pretty much ever. I like microbrew beer and almost all foods...I also am a skier both alpine and nordic and I like to walk and I want a stand up paddleboard…

So if the OB ordered the test then that's who's directions should be followed. I "thought" that one was started fasting, and they draw first, then have you drink the crap, but it's been 12 years so... My nurse radar is ringing though, saying that if metformin is involved this might be a little more complicated and you'll…

I blunderingly followed Heybales steps and it worked!! For now anyway. I did do an app update to MFP yesterday so maybe that had something to do with it. In the interest of helping others...What I mean by blunderingly is this... Remember how I complained that it looked like MFP was reupping it's connection to fitbit by the…

Heybales, My steps are what are not syncing. When they did, MFP would assign a calorie burn that generally matched what it would have assigned for the activity had I logged it as a workout. For instance, I would spend 60 minutes cross country skiing and the resulting activity as steps would go to MFP as say 500 calories.…

I posted a request for help earlier this afternoon and have so far heard nothing but crickets. I'm not a happy camper at the moment :#

Mine still won't send steps or exercises. I'm going over there to see what advice I can find. It's been 5 days and I miss the hell out of the motivation. :'(

Another one, it worked fine yesterday 2/4/17 but all of a sudden today it's not picking up Fitbit's steps. Fitbit isn't picking up the MFP foods either, although I use MFP's food guidance not fitbit's.

That's an acceptable amount of sugar. Sometimes you pick up a nutrition/energy bar that's supposed to be protein but it has 18g sugar, those are the ones I put right back down again.

I always wonder how much sugar protein powders have...and how much sugar the ones that actually taste good have.

Thank you for your useful answer, I'm in some sort of twilight zone because when I scanned the barcode to start this process it actually found a match! I have to admit that the whole scan your food thing is my favorite part of MyfitnessPal!!

I had my thyroid removed 13 years ago and also did the radioactive iodine. I started congenitally hypothyroid but had a goiter. I think it was a good 3 months before I felt like myself again after the surgery and the radiation. In my case it didn't help that after one testing go round I refused the recombinant TSH and just…

It works to some degree. It works better if you can exercise too. Be mindful of your carb intake and try to eat more proteins because they will satisfy you for longer than carbs will.

Well I just qualified for this group on Saturday. Got a fitbit and love the silly thing. Fought with it to make it play nice with MFP since I love how strong this is for food diaries. Love just scanning my food, love discovering how much I actually can eat.

Guillain-barré is pretty rare with standard flu shots although it was a somewhat bigger risk with H1N1 and with the vaccine for swine flu in the 1970s. It was a bigger story then because they were unfamiliar with it, and were not as successful treating people for it. It's also a more significant risk with Zika. Getting the…
