  • I get a real range of reactions - everything from guys who think it is hot (that usually goes away once I show them the bruises or point out that I am likely much stronger than them..!!) to people thinking it is slutty. I just try to spread the word about how awesome it is - how strong, confident, fit, agile and happy it…
  • I'm lucky - there are four places close-ish to me - I just looked at their websites and at their facebook page/youtube to see what kind of photos they post and what sort of routines etc they do - maybe go to one class in each and see what you think?
  • I still bruise, but it is in different places than I used to, haha
  • Just bite the bullet and do it, I promise you you will be SO happy you did :)
  • The bruising gets better, I promise!! :)
  • Lovely to see some more pole people here!! :)
  • I'm in Scotland!
  • I managed my Gemini and Scorpio tonight with no hands - so pleased :)
  • I managed to hold my elbow skater and I can hold my Gemini with one hand now - slow progress, but still progress!
  • Hello everyone - I'm Kat and I've been doing pole for the past four months - I've done some basic invert moves and I'm now moving on to my first intermediate level. I'm absolutely addicted - I recently bought my own pole so I can train at home and I go to classes once a week. Feel free to add me - it would be lovely to…
  • I'm from Falkirk - feel free to add me, anyone :)
  • Practice practice practice! I need to work on mine for pole dancing - I use the wall, plank, push ups, lots of core work! Feel free to add me if you want a handstand practice buddy!
  • Boo! I guess I'm pretty lucky where I am - there are four studios in my city!
  • I'm not far from you :D nice to meet another Scottish pole person
  • I guess so! We should be spreading the message of how awesome pole is!!
  • Nobody? :(
  • Spooky - I just did my first pole sit at my last class too... on Tuesday! I absolutely love pole - I only started at the beginning of this month but I'm already hooked!!
  • Day seven - done! Today I moved up to level two - it wasn't too bad, a bit rough on my knees, but nothing horrendous! Almost bottled it today after a rubbish day at work - but you all kept me motivated! <3

  • Intensive exercise can make your body hold on to water - weigh yourself after a rest day or two for a more accurate reading, my weight is the same despite burning 400+ cals most days with 30DS, running, pole and horses and eating under my cals - it is just one of those annoying things. Lots of water helps :)

  • Level one day six - done! After that and an hour long pole fitness class my muscles are a bit sore!! It is definitely getting much easier now! I can't decide if I want to stick it out for another four days, or just jump up to level two... I'm combining it with pole, horse riding and running so I'm trying not to get burned…

  • Level one day five - done! Have way through level one!! I actually found today pretty okay, somehow! I had a pole fitness class yesterday so I was in agony, but 30DS has done me the world of good! I'm off for a run now! How is everyone getting on??

  • I'm not too fussy about my weight - but I'd like to drop a few pounds this month - my main focus is getting my inches back down and building muscle - I'm getting on pretty well with it for now, combining it with running 4 times a week and horse riding 4 times a week. How about you? How are you getting on?
  • Level one day three done! I managed to cope with a jumping lesson with one of my horses this morning as I was a little less stiff! Off out for a run now then a well deserved hot shower!!

  • Day 2 = DONE! I was supposed to be jump schooling one of my horses this morning but I was too sore so we went for a nice calm hack instead until my poor sore core recovers!!

  • I'm hoping to lose about 4lbs, but that might go up or down depending on how much of my seasonal weight gain is bloat and how much is blubber, haha!! I have about 11ish pounds to go until my goal weight :)
  • I woke up very sore this morning! Getting on one of my horses first thing thing morning probably didn't help - I'm currently working up to doing it again!
