My pole studio does a belly dancing class, it is great fun, great for fitness and in my experience the class has a really welcoming, warm attitude to new people - have fun!

I got loads of sweet things as gifts, I've portioned them all up in a box with the calories and nutritional value on a label. That way if I do have something it is in a sensible portion and I know what I'm eating!

I've lost virtually all of the weight I had to lose and now I'm mostly working on strength and fitness - I pole dance, run, do yoga horse ride, hillwalk and climb as often as I can. I do pole and I get this every so often, usually for no obvious reason whatsoever. Being able to deadlift a move beautifully one day then struggling into it the next is incredibly frustraiting though, so I feel your pain!

When I started C25K I was winded after 30 seconds, I did have to repeat a few weeks and it was tough, but I've now ran 3 5Ks and a 10K - so worth it!! Good running shoes and rest are definitely really important - I also added yoga to my routine with great results! Feel free to add me :)

Feel free to add me - back to a cut/more cardio after slacking but generally I'm on maintenance - pretty active with running/pole/horses/yoga/gym etc!

We have crossfit guys in the room next to us - I think they try it out when we aren't here! I don't know any male polers here, but then my studio is pretty small!
