A heart rate monitor is the way to go to get a fairly accurate number, my polar occasionally will have hiccups where it will spike my numbers to high for my heart rate. As long as the contacts are kept clean, well-placed and minimal radio interference.. your golden.

Pancakes and turkey sausage...yea, I know it's high in calories and carbs....my biggest meal of the day is breakfast.
-
It's just one day on your journey..Make today great!!!!
-
No, it is not bad..however, if you push it to 8-12 hours a week. you will loose upper body muscle mass.
-
All forms of cardio are great...Personally, for me cycling outside 5-7 hours a week when the weather warms up..Now, I'm walking 5 hours a week!!
-
YES!!!!!

Wow!!! You look great!!!!
-
8 glasses a day is a target number, drink as much water as you can. Don't force it!!!
-
I don't have the flu, but I fell outside and threw my back out. Take it one day at a time and get healthy, once the flu goes away you can continue your quest.
-
This is a breakthrough, a hurdle has been placed on your journey and you have cleared it. Congrats!!

I've surfed through a couple of posts, right now I have 15 bags of Hershey's kisses with almonds sitting in the freezer we purchased on clearance for $1 a bag. Upstairs, for my daughter we have several bags of candy and probably 20 Hershey bars. By the way, my daughter is 5'4" and weighs 105 pounds. There is temptation…

Wow, that's amazing and I thought my 30 pound weight loss was huge. :D

I looked at you past few days and you may have the same problem I had with a recent weight gain..sodium. After a few days of drinking water your weight should come down.
-
Take each day one at a time, set realistic goals for weight loss and celebrate the successes along the way.
-
Add weight training slowly, I made the mistake of pushing too quickly and I have an oblique strain. Still, I am walking and will begin lifting soon.

In response to several posts on a diet, I set my calorie level at one pound weight loss a week. I had 1 or 2 days where I was over my caloric limits and introduced exercise (walking) with 11 hours in January, 9 in February and 12 in March with 45 minutes of cycling all outdoors. My starting weight was 278 pounds, today…

I love to cycle more than lift weights..I'm not sure how often you ride a stationery bike each week, if you can find the time to do 5 hours a week and watch your caloric intake the weight will fall off. :)

I felt my best at a healthy BMI under 25 happy and full of energy. I still have 33 pounds to go!!

I'm 6'6.5" and my starting weight on January 1st was 278 pounds. It's difficult even though I can hide my weight well, it's hard having clothes that fit well. Today I'm down to 251 pounds with a goal weight of 218. My wife is 5'2.5" tall and we have been together for 30 years. :)
