  • My bike has been inside on the trainer for a couple of weeks already. 🙂 I get way too cold riding, so as soon as fall arrives, trainer it is.

  • Check out nutritionfacts.org. He has a ton of nutritional info and a challenge/check sheet...4 weeks or 6 weeks or something like that. And invest in some good cookbooks. It’s kind of fun to try new recipes each week. And gives variety.

  • @oskeyt812 congrats on the masters!
  • @MadisonMolly2017 I love your enthusiasm and happy post! Keep at it.
  • 1. My goal for this month (This December I will..."): workout consistently, 5 days a week. I’ve slacked off on workouts and my vertigo is sneaking back in. I am pretty sure regular exercise helps keep the vertigo at bay. 2. The small actions I’ll be taking to accomplish this goal: schedule it in. Also want to work on…
  • I swim a lot of open water...if you don’t have good open water technique, then it’s imperative that you train a lot more in OW so that you can improve that. It is different from the pool for sure. I have a lot of OW experience, so I don’t train much OW. I stick to the pool because it allows me to maintain my speed and…
  • 4200m this morning, race pace training for the 200 free, and some butterfly thrown in. I want to qualify for USMS Nationals in 200 free and 100 fly....
  • I do a lot of dry land strength training, and mix in hiking and some biking. But nothing is as awesome as swimming. 😁
  • I was diagnosed about a year ago, but suffering with symptoms way longer. I sticking to 500-800mg sodium a day. Although this past week have crept up to 1000. And....no caffeine (you really need to just bite the bullet and give it up, sorry), no dairy (it’s a personal thing for me, just makes me worse), and mostly…
  • I’m an evening workout person. If I workout in the morning, I’m ravenous all day, and exhausted. I did it regularly for 4 months and never adjusted. So, I just stick to after work. I always have a race or other goal I’m training for, so the motivation is not an issue.
  • @Themedalist Thank you for all you do, and for continuing to serve us even with your own hectic life. You’re awesome!
  • @PackerFanInGB the Smile jar is great! What a super way to end the year. I’m stealing the idea from you. Thanks!
  • My condolences about your mom. I pray she is resting in peace, and that you find comfort at this time. Sending you healing energy. 💜💜
  • Hey all, keep posting your victories and struggles! Congrats on all the hard work and accomplishments. Keep on keeping on!
  • @nebslp Thanks, I'm crossing fingers but prepping a bunch of questions at the same time. 😁🤔 Wishing you a lifetime of spin-free days! And thanks for the quote from James Clear. It makes one think...why does this habit stick around? Why am i keeping it? What's it doing for me?
  • Although I do this exercise often, I have been trying to actually write it down each day. It’s called GLAD and I like the positivity of it. Identify one thing for each letter: Grateful for, Learned today, Accomplished today, Delighted me today. 😁😁
  • I made it to HIIT class today! I had an off day again, really didn’t feel well and didn’t want to go. I would have rather gone home to nap. But, I feel way better after moving so I’m glad I went. I do plan to go to bed early, get extra rest tonight.
  • What helped me a ton was getting a couple Bubba cups that have a straw. For some reason, I will drink way more consistently than from a bottle. I had a bottle with a screw on top and that was the worst. Like that little extra motion was enough of a barrier. But the straw... huge solution.
  • My 2 week check in: I’m doing really well with the diet goals, exercise, sleep, etc. but my good friend Vertigo has been coming to visit. Thursday was bad, couple of attacks, and felt like crap into Friday morning. Luckily, it got better thru the day and I made it home from Mexico with no issues. Today was another off day…
  • @Heidijens123 : sorry you’re injured and hope your mom is doing better. I’m glad you’re getting some workouts in, even if not ideal. Anything is better than nothing. Anyhow, sending energy to you and your mom, you’re in my prayers.
  • @themedalist Good week so far and thanks! No vertigo on the flights down, so yaaaaayyyy! Thanks so much for that recipe, because OMG carrot cake is one of those things that my husband and I both love. And a typical desert if we eat out. I miss it and can’t wait to try this recipe. Hope all is super in your neck of the…
  • Thanks for the positive post. I kicked my own butt in the pool today. I’m so tired now. Thank goodness for Sunday football. A good workout, eating fresh food, and relaxing is my gift to myself today. Hope you all have a great week.
  • Woot, congrats! It’s great to see progress. I’m glad you’re celebrating it!
  • A little late in posting. I wanted to put more thought into it. 😁 This October, I will stay the course. I restarted on MFP a few weeks ago, due to a flare up in my Meniere’s. It was never in remission but just not enough of an issue to make me get out of the denial phase about it. Since diet and other habits can be…
  • Yay! Congrats! Definite victory!
