I buy spinach and arugula bagged but I get heads of lettuce and wash and chop them myself - love my spinner. I'm lucky I can find a nice variety of whole head lettuce here.

Honestly I wondered if it was a glitch. We tried a few days in a row before giving up. I've used that site in the past and got normal numbers.

I prefer scoobys. Last time we tried at iifym it gave crazy numbers. It had my weight loss calories and maintenance calories only 16 calories apart. We tried other family members stats and same craziness.

Weigh them raw. The shrinking is loss of water which has no calories so the calorie count doesn't change.

It makes water taste yummy. That's all. If you drink your calories, then drinking lemon water instead can help keep you in a calorie deficit. It's not magical.

I remember a few years back someone feeding raw diet to their baby and he/she died of malnutrition . I just tried to Google it and unfortunately several such cases came up. If anyone needed proof that it's not healthy....so sad

I do it every 10 to 15 but I still have a lot to lose until goal weight. I'll evaluate every 5 to 10 when I get close.

I love to hike the trails in state parks and always pick one that is at least moderate or intermediate. Early last year when we were still building endurance we set out on a trail that connects to another, then another. ... 11 miles total. We didn't have to keep connecting but on the way out we were still ok. Coming back…

Most of the time I put it in the day I've been logging. If it's going to put me over by a lot, I'll put it on the next day and work around it then by either moving more to earn calories or make lower calorie choices so I can still eat a lot.
-
Get out and move a lot. Walking, running, biking, hit the gym, whatever option you have available. Then if you still want something you have at least earned more calories towards it. I find exercise, even moderate effort, helps a lot when I'm stressed or depressed.

So close! Great job and you know you'll do it. And soon

I almost always make eggplant parmesan and i don't bread and fry it. Instead I cut inch thick slices, salt lightly and bake on parchment until just tender. Then top with some homemade marinara (store bought is ridiculously sweet and sugary and absolutely disgusting and I'm sure more calories), then top either with some…

I did that for a couple years. I would lose weight just eating less without counting, have people noticing, then think I was ok to eat anything and all of it because I'd done so well. Then I would never get back to eating less again. A few months later after gaining all back, I'd start the cycle again. I actually grew to…

It's been awhile since I've seen a yam. We can get a couple varieties of sweet potatoes here. Some are orange and one is purple with white inside.

Half the time I want to weigh myself I don't because I had so much salt the day/days before. Preparing things yourself with whole foods can help keep it under control. It's not something I worry much about.

Stomach growl if I'm sedentary or only lightly active at the time. Weakness if I'm exercising especially hiking. With both I can get real witchy if I'm unable to eat for awhile >:)

Footlong roast beef sub with cheese and lots of veggies. I just logged a 12" roast beast on 9 grain wheat with provolone and many veggies at about 900 calories :D. I had eaten almost nothing all day so.....

I looked in the mirror and said oh I have to change that. And I have. And I have a long way to go still. But I've made a lot of good, noticeable changes/progress. Started negative and now mixed with positive. I realized I had been avoiding REALLY looking at how I look.

I have polar ft4 and have had no problems with it. I'm not sure what I'll get next if this one stops on me, but I know I don't need/wouldn't use a step counter.

I'm not much of an alcohol drinker but I do like to have a few drinks every once in awhile. I moved to lower calorie options. Sugar free mixers with vodka or tequila usually fit into my calories. Maybe save some calories during the week for weekend drinking. The coffee....maybe start decreasing the amount of creamer you…

My only plateau was when I went into maintenance for several months (intentionally). Some don't adjust their calories as they lose. I evaluate mine every 10 to 15 lbs lost as well as evaluating my exercise amounts to see if I need to eat less.

Lettuce is something I never weigh and estimate at 1 cup or 2 cups, etc instead. I did weigh it long ago and quickly realized I didn't need to ever again lol. I do log it though.

Yum pesto is magic flavoring :) Thanks for the link. I like easy and delicious. Even easier was following it on IG. Good score for the day!

My favorite sweetener for yogurt is honey, specifically wildflower honey. Then I also add frozen berries. I mostly use yogurt in savory dishes. I eat a lot of Mexican inspired food so it's a perfect topping. I buy plain 99.99999% of the time even if I want it sweet.

Small baked white potato loaded with 1 laughing cow lite swiss cheese wedge, 2 chopped pickled jalapeño, and 2 eggs that I scrambled and cooked with 40g broccoli slaw. 353 calories. The broccoli slaw cooked with scrambled eggs has a texture like hashbrown with eggs and doesn't taste of broccoli. It's something I found out…

I like that pb only with apples or something else dessert like. It's pretty sweet. FYI I recently saw it at Target too.

Some of us are tall AND have a large frame. I'm 6' and have a large frame. I brought up how 2 of my daughters are tall, both 5'11", and one has a large frame and one has a smallish/average frame. None of it has anything to do with weight. I didn't think about hats when I responded before. If it's not made from a stretchy…

I mostly eat bananas and apples. I always have a variety of berries in the freezer, pineapple, pears, any citrus, peaches, mango, so many and really I like what I can find.

Try with some powdered peanut butter. It has a lot of the fat removed so the calories are much lower.

Yep go by the weight.
