Your picture makes you look like you're a guy. If you are a guy make sure you're settings are at male. Seems it should be a little higher since I'm a girl at 5'8" and I have that amount.

You seem to thing that a low fat diet is the same thing as a calorie restricted diet. The two are not the same. Showing studies that low carb beats low fat is irrelevant to your argument. I hope that you choose to eat more than 1000-1200 calories per day as "0.5-0.6 lbs per day" is not a safe rate for weight loss. Even if…

Stop

I would say keep the whole egg and get rid of a piece of toast. Fat and protein keep you full
-
Are you eating enough?
-
+1

If you only want to lose 10 lbs it may be best to go slower and change your goal from a lb a week to a half lb a week
-
Also, one pound every 10 days is not bad at all.
-
I agree you should focus on decreasing body fat rather than losing lbs. 123 for a 5'8" person is quite thin and I think you'd be at a risk to basically be skinny fat again. If you work on maintaining muscle you can often look smaller and lighter than the scale will say.
-
Not that carbs are bad, BUT rice cakes and most soups are all carbs. Fruits, veggies, all carbs.
-
Why don't you read one of the million forums already created about how weight loss isn't linear and what water and periods do to weight and what a good rate of weight loss is and then come back if you still have questions?
-
Wouldn't having the worst headache in the world cue you in that you weren't eating enough?
-
Ohhhh my goodness I hope that was a joke. The egg touches the shell when it comes out of it.

pregnant?

I think if you're 5'9" you can eat a lot more. You can also adjust your goals to a lb a week which will be more sustainable and a bit easier. Also, MFP recommendations are not the be all end all. You can definitely eat and track and make determinations based on the results.
-
I'm confused how it even lets you have an 1100 calorie goal. You could be eating a lot more and still losing if you wanted to.
-
Probably because you are eating too little.
-
Sorry that's not what I was talking about. I was talking about like dannon light and fit or whatever that is like 80 calories and barely recognizable as yogurt.
-
I choose whole foods over processed most of the time. Do I sacrifice some calories by eating real yogurt rather than low calorie yogurt made of garbage? Yes and I am okay with that. It all depends on what YOU want to do.
-
My question would be... Are you trying to cut out sweets? Or cut calories? Or cut sweets because of the calories they contain? The reason I ask is because the advice you are getting is all over the place. Some are high calorie but "healthier" options than sweets. Some are lower calorie but still have plenty of sugar. Just…

I know people will say a calorie is a calorie. But you will get a lot more bang for your buck if you incorporate more nutrient dense whole foods into your diet. A large portion of your diary is packaged/processed foods. Not to say you can't lose weight with these (as long as you're in a deficit) but you might find you can…
-
Muscle does not weigh more than fat. Muscle is more dense than fat. A pound is a pound.
-
If your clothes are looser, who cares what the scale says?
-
Rather than trying to lose weight, have you considered changing your body by incorporating strength trainjng? If that doesn't float your boat then yes it is a very aggressive and miserable deficit. Shoot for a half a lb a week at the most. You're at a healthy weight now.
-
You don't need to exercise to lose weight. Exercise will improve body composition and general health. Plus the more you move the more you can eat and who doesn't want more food?!
-
Can I ask how tall you are? My best advice is to go slow.
-
I wouldn't suggest this.
-
Nope.
-
You don't want to take advice from someone whose name is "gotobedhungry"
-
Poor advice from Mr. Fish again.
