Fast day today, all my food portioned and prepared, no thinking required. Happy fasting everyone :)

Take away curry for tea last night, full tdee but worth it. Baked a low fat strudel cake for work tonight, precut it and at 150cals a slice I can still do a fast day, o:)

2 fasts done, not going to meet my tdee today, just not hungry. Making a batch of chicken veg miso soup to get me through the rest of my night shifts, the house stinks of garlic :D my OH asks if everything I make has to have garlic? Er, yes!

Sorry didn't actually answer the question, although my average is 2lbs a week the scales fluctuate wildly with 5:2, if you weigh after a fast you can drop 4 but it all reappears when you eat and drink so follow the trend and try not to get too hung up on the scale if it doesn't tell you what you think it should. I did this 2 years ago for 6 months and lost about 50lbs, life got in the way and I regained 35, 11weeks in and 22lbs down. So hopefully back on track for the same amount again. I swim 3-6 times a week as well

I vary the numbers, and try to be guided by appetite, often the day after a fast I'm not that hungry and get to 1500 but the more consecutive food days the higher the cals get higher up to 2300 and then a fast is a relief. I try not to eat back exercise calories but they are there if I have a chocolate attack

Good fast today, hooray for busy shifts where food isn't an option! Knowing I don't need to eat makes it so much easier o:) and half a kg off 10kg lost, mfp doesn't give me credit for the extra 3 kg off as I gained them over original start weight 2years ago Happy fasting everyone

Is your mum the same shape as you? But you are losing both so well done, keep on measuring both as sometimes the scales stick but you tighten up :wink:

I need to track everything, even though after 25years of dieting I am quite good at knowing portion sizes and calories, for me it's about the accountability, if I don't track a part of my brain thinks the calories dont count and I lose control, but I have always lost weight if I track what I eat

I tend to save calories for a bedtime snack cos I have the awful habit of soothing myself to sleep with food, sometimes oatts but now having warm protein drink. I remember reading that the alertness andffocus you get while fasting would help us to find food in lean times so it is a sort of good thing.

First fast and second swim under my belt o:) I agree with everyone else about carbs, they make me hungry and sluggish if without any protein, but I love them so......

Managed a 2day fast, work so busy it was good knowing I didn't have to worry aboutfood. Fast free weweekend yay!

2nd fast completed, might extend to tomorrow as another busy shift tomorrow and need a boost, I am steadily losing but a bit frustrated by how long its going to take, but slow and steady wins the race :\

Monday fasts all round, a good fast today, it really helps to be busy at work!

Last fast for the week today, 2days at max tdee as really hungry but didn't exercise, it seems easier to be under if I exercise and I tend not to eat those calories back as an extra boost as I have alot to lose, does anyone else find this?

What a lovely sentiment flumi, fast day today, having a cup a soup before yoga to see if ot helps with dizziness or if certain poses with head down just make me dizzy, they didn't before. A small loss but it all adds up, :D
