After starting off well in Jan/Feb then having to take breaks/repeat weeks due to weather problems, work commitments and illness I finally graduated on 26th June running (very slowly) about 2 miles in 30 minutes. I attempted my first 5k Race for Life on 5th July and completed it in 39.10 :) . The first 2.5k felt absolutely…

:) Well I'm happy today cos I completed W5D3 and managed to finish the 20 minute run without stopping to walk on my first attempt. I felt like I was running soooo slowly but I actually averaged 5mph, not bad considering I couldn't run 100 meters down the road at the beginning of the year. Would have been at this point…

W4D1 completed. I didn't think it was possible for me to run any slower but I did on the last 4 minute section. However I did run it all the relevant parts. My goal is to be able to run the length of time first and then to work on distance and speed :)

Yuk. Completed W3D3 but did not feel good today. My legs were aching as soon as I started the first 90 second run and felt like jelly by the time I finished. But... I did finish :) . Here's hoping I feel better for W4D1 on Wednesday (weather permitting).

Just done W3D2. Was going to go out after work on Thursday evening but couldn't as we had a little blizzard going on. Then I was an hour late home yesterday cos of escorting a patient for a CT scan and I just couldn't face going out at 9pm so ended up waiting till today. Which was probably good cos I enjoyed today much…

Also completed W3D1 today. Had to slow down further on the last 3 min run but managed to complete it. Unfortunately had to change routes again because of the horrendously muddy track, the gravel portions aren't bad but with all the rain we've had the grass sections have just become sticky, slippy mud pits. Will be so glad…

Week 1 Day 2 completed. Felt very slow today but that could be because I had just finished a busy 12 hour night shift. :p

Week 2 Day 1 finished. Finding it easier since I slowed down slightly from W1D1. I was going to go out this morning after finishing my night shift but the -3 temperature put me off and now I have to admit that I'm glad I waited till after I got up. Normally I complete the warm down walk in the park but because of time…

Week 1 completed. Actually looking forward to starting week 2 although slightly worried about fitting it in around nights at work.

Week 1 Day 2 completed. It started off easier but by last two sections I was again a hot mess with achy muscles. Hope nobody I want to impress saw me. ;)

I haven't run at all since doing cross country at school many many years ago but I decided since I walk regularly that I'd give C25K a try. I have just completed Week 1 Day 1 and only thought I was going to die once towards the end. I may have started a little too fast and think I may have to start a little slower on…

Also from Leicester and new here. Completely bamboozled by the american weights on recipes. I mean different cup sizes for wet and dry ingredients Whats wrong with mls and grams?

Hi, I'm from Leicester. I've lost weight and maintained before but fell off the wagon big time in the last 6 months. I'm determined to do better this year if only so I don't have to buy a whole new wardrobe. Good Luck on your weight loss x
