That's quite a change from a 5K to a 6+ mile obstacle course!

I'm 6'3", I used to be able to eat whatever I want but it's beginning to show in my 30's. And... not all men are terrible eaters :), I "turned" my wife vegetarian (her choice).

Welcome! I would also like to have more friends, especially from those that don't have more than 20 or so friends themselves. I am 32 year old (proud) father and husband that is trying to lose about 15 more pounds and to improve my fitness (especially running).

I just updated my running info. It took me a while to figure out that 1/16 was on the next tab :-). I put my remaining miles from the first tab for my miles goal for the second. I wasn't sure about the best way to do that. @HatherM your log is really impressive!

I usually don't start really like running until a month or two after I start (I have been on again, off again for some time). It seems like I have to become fit enough to run a mile or two without stopping before I begin to enjoy it. Perhaps it is similar with other cardio? Anyways, do what you are motivated to do and…

It sounds like one of the most successful strategies to lose weight in the long term is just logging your food / calories and, thereby, becoming more aware of what you eat. Whether you lose weight or not this week doesn't matter in the long term. What matters is that you keep on logging! Good job at keeping at it!

Good job in keeping at it! My weight loss slowed down this week too, although the first week I had lost more than what I expected. It sounds like we should aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week to be healthy, so around 4 pounds in two weeks is good!

Very impressive! Great job!

I have been wanting to run 15 miles in a week and I've accomplished that for the first time this week (on treadmill), with the encouragement of this competition!

I'm 32. I'm looking to lose 20 pounds also and to run regularly. I'm married and have a son. Feel free to add me too.

Just saw your post and updated the chart!

My primary goal is to keep on calorie counting. I figure as long as I am conscious about what I eat, then I will gradually lose weight. My secondary goals are to meet the daily net calories goal in MFP (1500 + calories spent exercising) and to run every other day.

Nice link. I'm sure it is fine.

I'm in. I've ran outside while my gym was closed for the holidays. I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed it in spite of being cold.
-
Did you want to set your goal weight (for March 27, 11-12 weeks from now)?

I'm joining too. snoweduponberries: if you post your info, I (or someone else, depending on who sees your response firt) can add it.
