Thank your for your advice lovecola06. My son is about a week shy of being 5 months old so he's not quite ready for solids yet. At the moment it seems like he's teething, or so a public health nurse thought, so I'm thinking that when those first teeth come in I'll have to switch to a bottle. He's already chomping down and…

Have any other breastfeeding moms dealt with a baby would absolutely refuses to take a bottle? I attended a wedding a week ago, and leading up to the day I pumped enough for his evening feeding, which I was going to miss. Long story short, I had to leave the wedding and go home to feed him. When I got there I tried to give…

Thanks birdie0929 for your advice, and I hope you have a great night out too!! And thank you lovecola06 for sharing what worked for you and your suggestions! I feel a lot better now.

I've noticed that he really only uses his hand when he's tired or hungry, so I guess he's giving me pretty good signs that he needs sleep or food. With the bottle, my husband tried to feed him one afternoon when I was out running errands and he said he would just keep screaming and wouldn't even keep the bottle in his…

Thank you for the reassurance. My son is a week shy of 4 months old. Tonight when he was going to bed, I tried putting mittens on his hands to see if that would stop him but he just ended up sucking on the mittens, so I took them off. I just thought that a pacifier would be better because you can alwasys take it away,…

So this isn't an exercise related question or anything but I thought I'd ask anyway. For the first few weeks when my son was born I had to pump and feed him from a bottle so I could tell how much he was getting (he had really bad jaundice) and he also used a pacifier very easily. Then one day he stopped using a pacifier…

I'm so lucky. I woke up this morning and felt a pain in my breast and realized that I'm currently dealing with what I'm sure is mastitis. Again. Oh what fun!

Apryl546 - Thank you for the tips. My husband told me to try the same thing (ice them) but I wasn't sure if it would do any good. Since you did the same and it helped I'll give it a shot! afitchpatrick - I hope your foot starts to feel better soon and that you can get back to your daily routines.

Does anyone know of a way to get sore knees to stop hurting? I haven't been able to do a workout in 2 days because my knees hurt so bad. They feel like they are bruised when I touch them and the pain radiates down my legs. I so want to get back on track but I'm afraid I'll just make them worse if I start too soon.

It's funny, my mother in law just told me tonight that when she was in her first few days of breastfeeding her doctor told her to have a beer because it will help her milk supply come in. That made me laugh! I will definitely have a great time at the wedding. It'll be weird being away from my son for so long though.

Phew I feel better now! I'm not really a drinker but I do want to have a few drinks and enjoy this wedding since I didn't drink at my own wedding - having too much fun and needed water more than anything to keep hydrated. The few friends I have that have children formula fed their baby's so they didn't have to worry about…

I feel odd about asking this because it makes me feel like a "bad mommy." Do any breastfeeding moms on here ever drink alcohol? I ask this because I'm going to a family wedding in about a month and I'm planning on having a few drinks throughout the night. My son is going to be at home all day with my cousins and I plan on…

Disappointed in myself today. I've only done 5 days of the 30 Day Shred and I didn't to a work out today. My knees are absolutely killing me today and I just couldn't bring myself to do today's workout. I did however spent most of the day wandering around a mall. Hopefully I can force myself to do day 6 tomorrow, even if…

Thanks for the reassurance! I've begun to realize that he is still getting what he needs from me so I don't have to worry so much anymore. I saw a specialist a few months ago and she told me that I had enough milk for 3 babies, so when I was getting less engorged I started to worry a little. And I realize how lucky I am…

I have a quick question. When did everyone start to notice a change after starting the 30 Day Shred? I've started it so I can fit into a dress for a wedding, without having to wear spanxs. I'm only on day 4 (also watching my diet) and I tried the dress on today and it already feels a little different. Just wondering if…

I have a quick question for everyone. I've been breastfeeding my son now for 3 and a half months and I'm finally starting to feel like I have the hang of it and it is getting easier. However, recently I've noticed that I don't really get engored as much as I used to, except in the morning after he's slept for 7 to 10…

So simple and yet I never thought of that. Thanks!!

I just joined My Fitness Pal and I'm really excited to get started! My little boy is 3 and a half months old and I'm about 10 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I gained 30 lbs with him (10 in about the last 2 weeks) and lost about 15 right after having him. 2 days later he was back in the hospital with jaundice and…
