New here. Looking for friends! Support is important! Anyone who sees this and is serious about their journey.... feel free to add me!

Self loathing will get you nowhere. Own your current weight and work to change it if that's what you want to do!

It is what it is. So where do you want to go from here? It sucks that you gained what, but your decision to stop gaining and start losing is yours. If your eating is related to emotional issues, start with getting some help. Don't dwell on what has happened. Focus on moving forward!

I agree with "don't overhaul too much too fast". Eat foods you want and work on making your calorie goal. Try to slowly incorporate more fruits and veggies. Slowly phase out processed foods like soda, chips, etc and find healthier replacements that you enjoy. Opt for leaner cuts of meat. Drink more water. An all or nothing…

Garden of Life Raw is a great vegan protein.

Quest bars, clementines, apples, celery with PB2, Greek yogurt cups, raw veggies with guacamole or hummus, string cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, 100 cal packs of almonds or walnuts, dried edamame, protein shake, banana, Lara bars, organic fruit leathers, single squares of dark chocolate, jerky, whole wheat toast with…

Go with it. Fill up on low cal veggies! Your health will sky rocket!

Nick's Sticks is a pretty clean version and actually pretty good. It is more of a meat stick form than a jerky, but I enjoyed it a lot and it has helped me with reaching my protein goals!

:'( I love these, but have to give them up when I cut out non organic dairy. Oh how I miss them so.

To me, it is best to compete with yourself and only yourself. I think a competiton tied to activity, like steps walked, is good. Weight competition is bad. Because if you lose at all, you are still a winner, so why should a winner ever be made to feel like a loser?

Oh, and like others said, eat more! Way more.

Looking just at today, I see you are VERY carb heavy. Try to balance out all the fruit with more veggies and add in more sources of fat/protein. Protein is especially important if you are an athlete!

Stock your desk with healthy goodies. Always have a healthier option available. Walk out of your way places so the junk is out of sight!

I have found personally that eating healthfully cost me less or close to the same as not. Plan your meals and snacks out ahead of time and shop from a list. Once you are able to have a pantry stocked with the essentials and basics, healthy eating becomes pretty cheap.

Do the best you can will what you have. And make 'earning a better income' as big as or more important a goal as your weight loss. Doing something is better than nothing at all. So eat as healthily as you can with the funds you have.

I've tried it, but I used waaay less butter/MCT than is recommended to keep calories under control. (I refuse to believe that a full 2 tablespoons of butter is good for anyone). It is actually really tasty. When I drink my version of bulletproof coffee and a whey shake blended with half a banana for breakfast, I am…

Thank you for your constructive and helpful comment. I'll keep it in mind when I'm enjoying my dinner tomorrow night. Cheers!

To me, it sound like you should skip it. The (little) benefit you might be getting from the supplement is being negated by exacerbating your anxiety. You have be of sound mind first and foremost and then your body follow.

I love guacamole and yes, I am definitely trying to avoid the chips! I like the idea of dipping veggies in guac...an easy way to get those veggies in!

If you look deeper into nutrition, our RDAs are incredibly low and are nowhere near what the values should be for optimal nutrition. While it is certainly desirable to get everything you need from food, even the best planned diets do not make it possible to get optimal levels of everything daily, especially if you are…

Wings are about 100 calories each. Think of how much healthy food you could fill up on instead!

Teras whey. Organic, grass fed whey. High quality and good!

Chipotle: I get bowls with 1/2 normal amount of brown rice, beans, veggies (Skip cheese, sour cream) If you have room for calories, go for guac! Panera: Lots of great options, Calorie counts are right on their menus now! Awesome. Cheesecake Factory: Skinnylicious menu (Just stay away from Cheesecake and tell them not to…

Following. I work 12 hour days as a pharmacist. Long days like this make eating right, logging, exercise, etc VERY difficult. Any tips are appreciated.

It is a simple recipe with water and other harmless ingredients. Can't see how it would hurt to try. At best, it helps you some lose water weight. At worst, you have boosted your hydration.

If organic, grass fed whey is a priority of yours, be prepared to pay a lot. But the kind I drink (Teraswhey) is great
