I think everyone needs to find what works for them. And how strict you follow it depends on your goals. You can be serious about what you put in your body without it being an eating disoder

As long as you burn more than 1400 daily (which nearly everyone does), you will lose. Why be hungry?

Support is grand! I'll be your friend (and anyone else's who is building their team!)

I have a Jawbone UP24. I like it better than the Fitibit because it is slimmer and more stylish and the charge lasts longer. However, it does not have a display, so you need to sync it with a smartphone to see your stats. I love mine so far!

Tofu, shakes, bars, nuts, seeds, beans, grains like quinoa, sprouted grain breads, veggies such as broccoli and edamame, soy milk, soy yogurt, if you do them: cheese, eggs, egg whites, greek yogurt, kefir, cottage cheese.

Why all or nothing? Gradually move away from packaged foods. Start with one meal a day. Then maybe try to add in non packaged snacks (fruits, nuts, raw veggies, etc). Then focus on second meal. To go from all packages to no packages is overwhelming and time consuming. So just transition!

Yes. It is quite easy if you limit processed food and eat a lot of fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. As many mentioned, Quest bars make a tasty and high protein/high fiber snack.

I think the first step toward changing is acceptance. So until you can accept that your body is what it is (for now) and be at peace with it, only then can you change it into the body you want it to be. I have done the beat myself up thing and it has gotten me nowhere. Just many rides around the gain and lose merry go…

While I don't personally follow the no snacks after whatever o'clock (mostly because I work til 9 o'clock), there is something to it. Giving your body up to 12 hours to rest and digest apparently can be a good thing.

It seems counterintuitive, but exercise actually helps cramps. And extra water helps with bloating. I have been reading recently that chocolate cravings in particular signify a magnesium deficiency. So consider a magnesium supplement if you crave chocolate.

Anything by powdered creamers. Read the ingredients .....fake and toxic!

People realize ketosis is bad for the kidneys and not an ideal state to be in, right???
-
Slightly over 100 to lose as well. You are welcome to add me.

Just give it up. I believe in moderation, but soda is toxic. It is hard to give it up, but if I can do it, anyone can. I was drinking 8 or more diet cokes daily at one point!

I am a pharmacist and I strongly discourage use of this dangerous and addictive drug. Is the possibility of dependence, drug induced psychosis, and cardiac problems worth losing a few pounds? Especially since you cannot be on the drug long term and will only gain the weight back when you go off it! My customers ask me…

See a naturopath. They are very into digestion and "normal" poop.

But potassium powder and add it to the shake.

If you aren't hungry in the morning, it is a sign that your metabolism is sluggish. After 8 hours of not eating, you should be hungry!

One way to get more protein is not eat cereal with almond milk for breakfast! Both have very little protein.

You are wheat you eat. And you are what you eat eats. So yes, to me there is a big difference between an antbiotic-injected, grain fed cow and a cow that was grass fed (what cows are supposed to eat) and not treated with antibiotics.

what is IIFYM???

I am a carbaholic and I have recently increased protein and fats and decreased carbs (especially sugars)...In just 3 weeks, I feel amaziningly better and more energetic! The weight is coming off too!

Watch "Fed Up". Sugar is considered a major culprit behind the obesity epidemic. It is also highly inflammatory in the body, and inflammation promotes disease. It isn't an either/or. It is a good idea to avoid both artificial sweeteners and limit added sugar that doesn't come naturally from fruits and vegetables.

Do you eat dairy? Or are you looking for something besides whey?
-
Went out to eat yesterday and didn't blow my calorie goal! Even turned down the bread basket.
-
You're joking, right? Food has calories. Your body needs calories. Why would you want a zero calorie meal, or even a zero calorie snack?? Forgive me, but that sounds nuts....
-
Cravings for chocolate often signal a magnesium deficiency. Perhaps a magnesium supplement would help.

Trying to lose 100 and change. Looking for friends as well! Feel free to add me.

Fruits, veg, grains, beans. I also put fiber supplements into my shakes/smoothies. I regularly double my daily recommended fiber intake.

New here. Looking for friends! Support is important! Anyone who sees this and is serious about their journey.... feel free to add me!
