That sounds like the best option to me. You can't change arseholes but you can change your route. I don't recommend the headphones idea because that could cause you to miss something important like approaching traffic.

All my answers have already been given. I have a Polar M400 and like you I don't completely trust its calorie burn numbers. I usually log 80% of their calculation.

I didn't keep May up to date but I will try harder this month. My goal is 400 kilometers. My average ride is around 15 - 20km right now and I try to ride 5 times a week.

I love Indian food as well but it is high calorie and if that doesn't kill you the salt content will. That being said I'm having Butter Chicken for dinner tonight. It just means that I will have to go on an extra long bike ride.

I have lost over 40 pounds and with the exception of the first two weeks I have eaten several servings of fruit every day. Now that summer is preaching I am sure that my fruit consumption will increase over the next few months. As @TavistockToad said, it's the caloric deficit that matters in weight loss.

Walk fast, walk far. Most of my exercise until recently was walking. 10-15 kilometers a day. Not only did I lose weight, so did my dog.

Good work but only do it once today. If you want to get more exercise either go for a walk or inflate those tires and ride, but DON'T jog again.
