For other social ideas, we have friends over at least once a month. I usually plan the menu because I like to be creative that way, so I know exactly what the calories are in my dinner and drinks. Another thing my husband and I do is experiment with fancy popcorn once the kiddo has gone to bed. Snuggle up, each with a bowl…

I've literally asked myself "do I want this more than I want my goal?". Answer was mostly no.

I aggressively chomp gum when I get stressed at work.

Yes, especially the horrible knots that would form on my shoulders. Also the aches that would come when I had worn a bra out but couldn't spend the $$$ for another.

70+ lb loss for me = going from a 38F to a 36DD I can bra shop at Target! Couldn't do that before.

I too thought I would be able to just jump right back in, no problemo. I am struggling a little bit more than I would like. Right now, my goal is just to do better than the day before. Even a little bit. Yesterday, I pre-logged at a deficit. Schedule changed mid-day, got stressed out, ate a huge snack that put me at…

Thank you for this perspective. My Autistic son has been going through a no breakfast phase - even though I think he should be hungry, he refuses to eat. (He also will say he's hungry and full in one sentence, so now I understand a bit better that he may not be able to distinguish between the 2). OP, my boy has eating…

I want to echo what other posters said about Sensory Processing Disorder or perhaps something on the Autism Spectrum. This might be something you want to look into. My son is autistic and lives on peanut butter, yogurt, and fruit/veg squeeze pouches. As for recommendations, perhaps fruit/veg squeeze pouches? You can suck…

I've been wearing my flex as much as possible to hopefully get my TDEE. I am assuming the calories burned on the Fitbit dashboard are inflated, no? As of today, I've walked about 6500 steps (just at work and home) and it says I burned 1500 calories. In the long run, I plan on averaging gym days and non gym days to get a…

For me, the shift in my emotional eating came after I took a weekly yoga class. It was actually "Yoga for bigger bodies" and my teacher was great. It served as time that I intentionally carved out of my life to de-stress. The first couple classes, I laid on my matt during the last meditative pose and cried silently,…

I am 5'3" and have a desk job - this was hard won!

I just realized that a stress eating trigger for me is the pick up kid from school and husband from work grind in the afternoon. I just started bringing a single serving pack of Pirate Booty (65 calories) for the ride home to grumpily crash my teeth on. If I'm still stressed when I get home: pickles.

15 mins cardio, 15-20 weights

I totally get where you're coming from! My newest splurge when I want a treat is a flavored seltzer water. Polar makes seasonal offerings. I just had a "Mai tai" flavored water yesterday!

If I had good intuition about eating, I wouldn't be overweight in the first place. It was/still can be hard for me to stop eating when I'm full and I used to keep eating until it was physically painful. So, not very good instincts. I'm also a stress/emotional eater. Since I pre-log my day, when I start to feel stressed and…

I just used non stick spray and eased the out gently

Do you have a Trader Joes or a Sams Club near you? Trader Joes has bagged spinach at $1.99/bag, I buy 2 a week for my lunch salads. Sams club has bulk frozen fruit and almond milk, which I use to make smoothies. It comes out to about $1/smoothie for me. I made a batch of mini Omlettes that are freeze able last month. Here…
