Been dry since 1-1-18. Feel better and sleeping better. My regular bout with acid reflux has subsided also. Along with diet and exercise, I'm now missing 20 lbs. I hope to not find it anytime soon.

I caught this thread just today, but I quit all alcohol on 1-1 and haven't touched any since. I feel better, sleep better and have lost 12 pounds (along with diet and exercise). I plan to go at least until 3-1. Unfortunately I've replaced alcohol with Coke Zero, so one vice at a time !

Try the 3-hour diet by Jorge Cruise. You get to eat every 3 hours, so it feels like you are always eating something or close to it. I use 100 calorie snacks between meals and then a sensible meal. You can still manage 1,200 if that is really what you want to do. Personally, I think that's a little light. Google 3-hour diet…

Welcome to my world. I've lost close to 50 pounds and am now sporting some nice "bat wings". I'm sure my age is a big factor, but it sure would be nice to wear my sleeveless running shirts.

I've done the 3-hour diet for years. I eat every three hours, as exactly close to that time as possible. As soon as I get up, a piece of fruit or handful of cereal, breakfast at 8:00, 100 calorie snack at 11:00, lunch at 2:00, 400 cals or so, another 100 to 150 cal snack at 5:00 before I go home. Dinner at 7:30 to 8:00,…

..... that isn't losing weight.

But it's easier that way ;)

I tried doing that with the Surge to hopefully improve the heartrate monitor, the thinking being that it was closer to my wrist pulse point. It didn't help.

If it's on the Interwebz, it has to be true.

I like my Surge for tracking exercise and runs. Even though the heart rate monitor isn't 100%, I think it averages out over the day. I usually always hit my goals early in the afternoon and that takes a lot of stress out of deciding what to eat.

Don't worry about the number. Just track the loss. I just use one scale, at home, every morning at the same time.

A tad ?? People are freakin' harsh on here.

OK, thanks. Yeah, mine is usually positive by the time I get to the gym in the morning. I just wasn't sure why it started negative. Thx again

This. I log every single thing I eat, including things you wouldn't even think of like ketchup and other condiments, gummy vitamins, etc. It all adds up. Using MFP and the 3-hour diet, I've lost 24 pounds since Dec. of last year. You got this. :D
