I have gotten that a LOT lately! Also people telling me I have "lost enough". According to my BMI chart I'm still obese and I still don't like the way I look in clothes AND out.

thank you all for sharing! Amazing dedication. "Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did."

I totally agree with this post. It's not about numbers or charts or statistics. It's about changing the way we think and react to and about food. It's about getting to a place where we like ourselves again, and can feel better and and enjoy life.

still not done but this is were I am now. I started my Journey in January.

hi, good luck on your journey. I started MFP January 5th. I have lost 69 lbs. I have been calorie counting, tracking steps with my Iphone. I've also been tracking walks runs and bike rides with The runkeeper app. You can sync that with MFP and it will add exercise calories to your daily calorie allowance.

I'm going to start using that, "treat meal" not a cheat meal. I try to NOT eat my daily exercise calories and save them up for a weekend meal with my wife. Is that cheating?

I have found recently that I enjoy cycling much better than walking or running. Although I do have to find a comfortable seat!!! I pulled out an old cheap bike, that I had in my shed, June 8th and have logged 43 miles. Not doing any marathons but hey it's a start, about 5 miles a day.

good luck! I have lost 68 lbs. since January. so you can do it too!

I have not been using an actual food scale. I usually do not eat my exercise calories back. My goal is to lose another 46 lbs. My "healthy" BMI weight is 175
-
that has been the case, (recently) I have lost inches around my waist but not lost much weight.

i think LOVE is a strong word, I hope I can learn to love it. I use the treadmill at a local fitness center and recently alternate on the stepper if it's raining. On sunny days I WALK at a local high school track in the evenings, after work. I have only been doing this sine March so i am trying to work up to LOVE, right…

This is totally me, too. I ran track in middle school (sprints/hurdles) because it was an easy way to earn a letter. Didn't really run much after that. Was in pretty good shape (swimming, cycling, kickboxing, yoga, aerobics), but just not a runner. Didn't run again until I was in my 40's--my son had a parents versus kids…

Ok, thanks for all of the comments. So can i ask another question in this thread or should I start another? How do you get to the point that you actually LIKE to run. I have tried running. I ran cross country in High school and hated every second of it. If it starts to hurt (chest, back, knees, ankles) i quit. Thought?

"Before" I had to make a conscious decision to breath OR tie my shoes. Now I can do both safely without the risk of blacking out!
