For one, how much are you trying to lose and how overweight are you? If you don't have a lot to lose but yet have your weight loss goals set too aggressively (trying to lose weight faster than you should) the app could have your calorie goal set pretty low making it hard for you to stick to. That may not be the case, but…

Despite being so incredibly uncomfortable, I do admit it made me know I did something!

I'm consuming a rather small amount of protein daily as is so I ordered a low calorie whey protein powder. Maybe if I do a shake before workout (I was thinking after but I've read both so I don't know anything about it personally) and another before bed, like you said. Thanks!

Has it ever synced? Mine stopped synching for 2 days once. I disconnect and reconnect it several times and it would briefly synch then stop again shortly after. The issue cleared up a couple days later.

For those of us in our 30s and with young children, it's closer to 2 minutes than 2 hours, so we probably burn 3.6 calories at best!
-
I have all of my accounts synced. So, basically you are saying I need to get over it, take a leap of faith, and just trust the Fitbit calories adjustments? I have negative adjustments allowed. Right now for example, I'm at the end of the day and counting fitbit calories I have enough leftover for a serving of peanut butter…

You are spot on about the mental adjustment from dieting to maintaining. It is a struggle for me, but a work in progress. I'm fearful of totally falling back into my bad habits, although I'm confident I will never go back to eating the old way now that I see what a pig I was! I haven't had a single "cheat" day since I…

I'm a sucker for convenience, hence the lean cusines and the like. Easy to take to work and keeps me on track....probably not the *best* choices for every single day though.

Technically I am trying to maintain in theory, but what happens is I eat well within my standard caloric range and I will fluctuate up 3 pounds in a week for no apparent reason (and I eat the same stuff almost daily and it won't be time of the month) and then I will fluctuate down and lose what I gained and then some…

Thanks...my fat intake seems to vary but seems to average in the 40s in grams daily. Looks like my diet is usually 25 percent fat, 15 percent protein and 60 percent carbs.....I love carbs too much.

:D

Good point...that's how I lost weight so it's obvious nothing is different now. I always have calories leftover daily anyway, so if I throw in a protein shake and stay in my calorie limits sounds like I will be ok.

Yes, I feel like a deflated balloon! Lol I don't look fat but definitley not as lean as one would think someone would looking weighing in the 120s. I looked back and accordi ng to this app, I eat about 14 percent protein on a weekly basis. Should I just strength train, try to hit 20 percent daily protein whether it be from…

No I don't actually know my lean body mass. I wondered if it meant just per pound or per pound of lean mass.
-
Well I'm definitley not that :-) Sounds like I'm still not getting nearly enough, and at 127 lbs I should shoot for around 100 grams per day. I've just known way too many people drinking protein shakes all the time as if they were a bodybuilder and then they get fat.
-
Then I'm getting only slightly half of that.
-
I actually just had to make a quick run to walmart and saw jillian michaels ripped in 30 and a couple 5 lb dumbbells. Going to give it a shot starting tomorrow and see how it goes :-)

I think I should clarify my statement regarding was running and not toning so I quit. I didn't quit just because of that and truly MISS running. I am am accountant who was pulling 60 hour min work weeks and with 2 young children. Total excuse I know that. However, when you have that much going on, and it's not giving the…

I definitley want to get back into running because I was started to enjoy it. I just feel like it's a waste to have accomplished so much and look great til my clothes are off :-( I really don't want to join a gym due to my work schedule, small children, and heavy sports demands of my children. I need something I can pop in…

I'm now at 131.4 pounds (today anyway) and eat anywhere from 1500-1700 cals per day. If I eat around 1500 I'm good but anytning over 1650 and I fluctuate up a tiny bit. It's getting very frustrating because I'm starving and average about 400-500 calories a day my fitbit adds that I should, in theory, be able to eat as well…

5'5 and 135 lbs...seem to still be losing though but I'm new to maintenance. Eating avg 1700 calories, which apparently isn't enough but leary of going too crazy.
-
I've lost 30 lbs, and went from a 14 to a 6 or 8 depending on the brand.
-
I have the charge hr, and have been using it for a month. I'm going into maintenance. I have my settings at sedentary and average a fitbit positive calorie adjustment of 300-500 calories per day. I've occasionally eaten some of those calories and I'm still losing. I think it's pretty accurate.
-
I mostly eat the same foods but it would be a lie to imply I'm eating all of the foods I want because many simply don't fit into my calorie goal. Pizza is an example. I ate three slices on my birthday, but it was thin crust with limited toppings. I can't eat pizza like I like it because one slice is nearly 400 calories.…

Yes, I have the same problem. During the work week I feel so hungry all day, and have eaten my lunch and snacks by noon and ravenous when I get home in the evening. Yet on the weekends I have to force myself to eat. I guess on the weekends I'm on the run so much that it's like I'm too preoccupied to eat, but I have a desk…

My body has changed too...it's so odd how you can look better at a higher weight as time goes on. I was 2 lbs heavier than I am now prior to my 2nd child and wore a size 12, yet now I can comfortably wear a 10. I'll take it!

SW: 167 CW: 141 GW: 140 My goal seems to be quite higher than nost, but I have a larger build. I figure that since I was 137 lbs when I left Marine Corps boot camp at age 19, that 10 years and 2 kids later being around that again is good enough for me! I've never been super light, and after my first child I briefly got…

Are you close to your goal weight? How long have you been at this? By slowed down, do you mean you have been losing consistently for a long time or you just started recently and lost a bunch initially and now slowed?

I would just avoid things you know are extremely calorie dense (fettucini Alfredo comes to mind) and otherwise order what you want, just eat less. I went to a Mexican restaurant the other night, and I ordered what I used to always get except I ate about half, asked the waitress to take my plate so it wasn't sitting there…
