I did a bit of judo in junior high. Came in really handy when one boy decided to grab my chest without permission. I threw his *kitten* on the ground with a hip toss. Funny enough he didn't bother me again. :)

When I walk, I feel like I'm only walking to improve my walking skills. With martial arts the muscle and flexibility I'm building is utilitarian, I think for me that is the real difference. Im exercising, sure. But more than that I am training myself to be graceful, agile, reflexive, fluid, and alert. :D
