1. Put the extras away before eating. 2. Eat a smaller portions the first round so you can have seconds. 3. Put the food on the counter or stovetop.instead of the table so it's not taunting you. 4. Log it before eating. It may help to see you're out of calories. 5. Allow an extra serving of your lowest calories…

These seasonings at about 10 calories per teaspoon are good.

I'm 5' 6.5" and weigh about 127. I've been maintaining for about 8 months. I had a good friend tell me just last week that I got too thin around the holidays and I look better now. I haven't lost or gained outside my 5 pound range - it was all how she perceived it. She needed time to get used to my updated appearance. This…

Do it now...you will feel so much better!

Quinoa, beans, or tofu?

I basically do the same thing, but with less math 😂 I eat under goal when I'm at home alone and save those extra calories for social meals once or twice a week.

Welcome!

You're right. When I first started I counted EVERYTHING. Now, with experience, I tailored it to meet my needs. I should have stated that in the original post. Thanks for politely keeping me in check 😁

A 50 calorie low carb wrap (not because it's low carb, but because it's low calorie!) spread with 25 calorie light Laughing Cow. A serving of fruit or 2 veggies. Oatmeal FF Greek yogurt with crunchy cereal or berries

I don't track lettuce, raw spinach or seasonings, but track other veggies & salad toppings. Sometimes I'll log all the other veggies combined as red peppers, even though it might be a combination of cucumbers, onions, carrots, peppers, etc... Other toppings are logged separate - dressing, fruit, proteins, grains, etc....

We should be more concerned with who we are on the inside instead of physical attributes. Your true value is in your heart, your personality, your mind, your attitude, your character. It is not in that extra bit of skin or the circumference of your thigh. The challenge is to actually believe that, and your post strongly…

Larb gai is my go-to for Thai It's basically a ground chicken salad. I get all the Thai flavors with a low calorie investment. I might add a fresh roll and/or Tom Yum soup, too. Delicious!

I think you're looking for the thread: 'Does this uterus make me look fat?' I'm on my phone so I can't link to it. Search for uterus and it should come up for you. Edit: Quiksylver beat me to it!

Avoid the conflict! For instance: My role is to encourage everyone so I don't want to be biased by competing. (((Then wave your pompoms 🎉)))

I just discovered unsweetened almond milk. It has 30 calories per cup compared to about 90 for fat free milk. I just started using it for creamy sauces, soups and desserts. It's a game changer for me!

If starvation mode existed then mass famine would not be an issue. All the starving people in third world countries would be pleasantly plump. Sorry, it's just not possible in the terms you are defining it. Yes, thermogenesis exists, but that's not how it works. That's not how any of this works.

Eating disorders need to be handled by professionals. I suggest discussing your concerns with your doctor or therapist. As for your view on being loved... I promise you are enough just the way you are!

Love it! I often do solo hiking trips, mainly because no one else wants to keep up with me.

Well, this thread was resurrected from the dead!

You're allowed to eat whatever you want as long as it falls within your calorie allowance. The terms 'clean' and 'healthy' are relative - they have different definitions. In general, you will benefit from eating a variety of nutritious foods, but you could consume all 'unhealthy' foods and still lose weight as long as you…

I think it really depends on how much fruit & veg you are consuming. An apple or a serving of green beans each day won't make a huge difference. If you're eating multiple servings each day it adds up quickly. Today I will have: Small banana - 80 cals 3 servings of green beans - 90 cals Kale salad with tons of veggies - 100…

I understand the anxiety! I go to a friend's house for dinner about once per week and watch her smother food in butter and oil. I really can't quantify the amounts, other than it's way more than I typically use. I wouldn't be able to do it if it was 50% of my meals.

Avocados we're only $.60 at the grocery store today. I bought 6 ranging from ripe to very green. Guac for dayyyyyyys!

I usually put a single packet of splenda in about 6oz of yogurt - I like it fairly tart. To me the pudding made it bitter due to the artificial sweetener. I can't taste it with Splenda, but I did with the pudding. I'll stick with just Splenda. Anyone want a partially used package of pudding? 😂🤣

Went to the store, bought sugar free instant cheesecake pudding, mixed with greek yogurt. It is currently in my freezer. I cannot wait to try this new treat!

The recipe I see has full fat yogurt. Has anyone tried it with reduced or 0%? I'm wondering if it *needs* the fat.

Proof that you can do this! Nice!

I've *never* gone to a gym 🤫 Everything I do is body weight. I'll never be ripped with this approach, but I'll settle for being a 47 year old with a defined 4 pack. It is less efficient in that my reps are higher since my max is what I weigh, but you could add weights. On the flip side, I don't incur commute time.
