I’m seeing the same issue with multiple calorie adjustments from Garmin Connect, so it’s not just data from Apple Watch.

I did enter a support ticket with MFP, they haven’t responded yet. I’ll try Garmin too - good idea.

Has there been a resolution to this? MFP hasn’t synced my weight from Garmin since October 18. No issues with it syncing exercise from Garmin or calories consumed to Garmin. It’s pulling steps from Garmin without issue. It’s just the weight not syncing. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the apps and that didn’t fix…

There was a recent study that found that people who couldn’t balance on one foot were twice as likely to die in the next 10 years… getting dressed in the morning has taken on new meaning since I read about it!

My favorite iFit trainers with treadmill workouts are Lucy Bartholomew, Tommy Rivs Puzey, and Casey Gilbert. I also have a rower but don’t use it as much as the treadmill. When I do, I’m usually looking for a shorter workout to warm up before weights, so I’ve repeated the 20 Minutes to Toned series and the Lake Bled…

Hi! I just turned 50. I've been on MFP for years... too many years to be where I'm at... I sort of lost my mojo the last couple years, but I'm slowly getting back into healthy habits. I'm currently looking at over a 100 lb to lose - but like they say, it's not how many times you fall down, it's how many times you get back…

Which Garmin do you have? I have a Fenix 5s and my calorie counts have been crazy high since they pushed the 15.00 firmware in December. (Active calories are higher than they should be in the History on my watch - Garmin Connect and MFP are just reflecting the bogus high calories sent from my watch - so its the firmware…

You could also add a few minutes of walking around barefoot on your toes and then a few minutes on you heels. I remember coaches having us do this in the grass after running workouts.

I’m in for 100 miles in September.

I love Zombies, Run and am waiting on the next couple season 8 missions to come out. I’ve been using the app for a few years now - even have a couple of their t-shirts from their virtual 5ks, etc - it’s nice to cycle it in as an alternative to listening to playlists or just my feet hitting the ground.
-
I also have the Fenix 5S - I splurged on the Sapphire with the champagne metal band. Running, hiking, swimming, weight lifting, etc. - no complaints - and it doesn’t look out of place dressed up for work either. I love the thing as much today as the day I got it (Nov 2017). I had a couple Polar watches and the Fenix 3…

Agreed - I’ve joked that it must have something to do with running against the earth’s spin, lol.

I’ve used mapmyrun to get distances for all the road routes I run, but this path is through the woods on private property in a rural area. I can pick out landmarks on satellite images but the path isn’t obvious, and I’ve even overlaid the Garmin maps of my run with the latest google maps images - each run varies pretty…

I regularly run a loop through a heavily wooded trail. I can’t get a VO2max because of the trees, and I’ve noticed a 0.15 mile difference (over 4 miles) depending on whether I’m running clockwise or counterclockwise. (Clockwise is consistently the “longer” route.) I have no idea which is the correct distance, or if it’s…

Did you start a new group? If so, what'd you name it?

This is a powerful motivation. I had a similar epiphany carrying a 40lb container of kitty litter up the stairs.

I’ll echo Garmin Connect, but I really liked Runmeter before I got my first Garmin. Zombies Run is another great running app, although I don’t use it to track my runs, just as entertainment during some runs.

You’re already running about 6.5 minutes at a time before walking, so if I were you, I’d find a c25k or c2510k program and start the program at the week that closest matches that 6.5 min interval. The program will help you build up your stamina. Once you’ve got stamina, then you build on that by developing a weekly plan…

I have a Bowflex. Used it pretty religiously when I first got it a few years ago, but I never saw the promised results. I should Craigslist it, as now I sometimes use it as a bench, but mostly it just takes up space. I get a much better workout with my dumbbells.

I've had my Fenix 3 for over a year and I love it. I run 5 days a week, hike regularly, swim occasionally, and also track my yoga and strength training activities with it. I haven't lost an activity. It's true I've had some hiccups with updates, but I was able to find workarounds until the next update by reading the…

Not sure if this is the same thing you're experiencing or not. I have an elliptical that I rarely use (I prefer to run anyway) because 20 min into a workout, my feet start going numb. From what I've read, it's caused by the constant contact of your feet on the petals. I find that keeping my shoes laced looser and lifting…

I do compound lifts (rows, bench press, etc.) before isolation lifts (bicep curls, dumbbell flyes, etc.)

Congratulations! You look beautiful! P.S. I really love your dress! Nice choice!

5.24 run Friday morning

5.17 this morning. 15 min Yoga routine at lunchtime. I need to get better about the yoga for stretching, because my hamstrings were starting to feel really tight yesterday and this morning. Feeling much better now.

10/3 5.24 miles 10/4 5.15 miles 10/5 4.01 miles Good start to the month. Totally bummed, though. I didn't get a chance to sign up for the October awesomevirtualrunning.com the other day - I just checked, and it's already sold out. =/

I want bling - I think I'll be upping my goal to 100 - thanks for the link @Orphia
